Small business with really tasty food. I came across this business one Friday night. Price is definitely high considering $8.50 for a chicken sandwich. But owner is super nice and down to earth person!

Small, locally owned, and authentically crafted. The owner is a culinary artisan who’s dishes will make you feel like you’re home. He was such a joy to meet and had the most welcoming attitude. Was eager to explain dishes and all their ingredients. It’s easy to see how much he loves, and prides himself in what he does. We tried the shawarma, kefta, chicken, lintel soup, and salad. The flavors were wonderful and unique. Ate until full but still felt light. Very healthy and fresh ingredients. Owner uses family recipes from back home. Wonderful experience and cannot recommend enough.

Really good food! Everything was tasty and the owner was very friendly! Got the chicken shish kabob entree, which came with rice, chicken, salad and pita bread. Also got the shawarma sandwich and the falafel sandwich. Definitely will be back! Make sure to grab a menu while you’re in there.

Don’t go! They don’t speak, don’t thank you! And don’t let you sit in even though there is clearly plenty of sitting space! To have such a Godly name they don’t really act like it.

We got the veggie platter, a beef gyro, and the potato chop sandwich. All highly recommended. The owner was there when my partner picked the food up and was super friendly. Everything was very yummy!

They have re-opened and updated the place as of 05/19/19. This place wasn’t closed for health violations they were closed for construction. The stickers from City of Chicago are for several permit reasons. This is one of my top 3 favorite middle eastern restaurants. Been going here for over 10 years. Food is great and real friendly service. From pita sandwhiches to full plates, good value for the money. And everything is fresh and BYOB. Just left and the food is delicious as usual.
