Fried Chicken was cooked to perfection. The zucchini, squash, corn, & green beans just needed a little salt and pepper. Jalapeños were hot and I like spicy. Our waitress did not check on us, but I did ask her for a refill for our drinks when she was walking by us. The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting was definitely old, stale, and crumbly, but you can’t beat the price for all the food and for my family of 5.

We have been coming here for years over 30 for sure. My mom usually pays for everyone then they walk in. Didn’t happen with their “new policy” today. They were extremely rude. Then my dad went to find seating & they were telling us they would kick him out of the seating. He’s a 77 year old Vietnam Vet. Then I asked about their military discount & they said they don’t have one, yet ask for donations in support of a military child/camp. I have two military children, but they don’t give the military/veteran discount. We sat in the back room which was just absolutely miserable. The A/C showed 90 degrees. The fans weren’t turned right to help the air flow what so ever. My dad picked this place for his birthday as we’ve had many here over the last 31 years I’ve been alive. The ice in our drinks melted within 5 minutes. Ice cream about 4 minutes. It’s all sad & disappointing. Then hearing how a manager spoke to an employee who was helping another employee I was appalled. I would’ve walked out myself (I was a waitress/bartender for years). It was overall a terrible experience. Out of 31 years of coming here today (July 30, 2023) was the absolute worse!

Been a while since I visited a golden Corral. Food was all fresh. Steak very tasty, fried catfish excellent and fresh. Waitress was fantastic. And the banana pudding had the correct ripeness of bananas. Very clean as well. Wld recommend this location

Quality varies by location. This is not the worst one I’ve ever been to but far from the best. Also they did not participate in the national senior early evening 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.. One thing you expect from franchises like this is consistency. Don’t expect that here.

I know I’m in the minority but I like this place. If I don’t like something I don’t get it again. If I love something I get it every time. I love their senior prices. I finally got a take-home box the last time I went there and ended up with two steaks and some collard greens for about $7. You can’t beat that. I’ll be back.

Every now and then I will try a restaurant that I haven’t been to in a while. Golden corral is one of those. This trip, the food was okay although the pork spare ribs were cold. 2.89 for a drink is nuts! 15.99 is a little high too I believe buy the salad bar is fantastic and the bakery always some good items. I will visit them again but not very soon. 4 stars is probably a little generous.

If you’ve eaten at one golden corral then congratulations you’ve eaten at all of them. This one is fine. It’s clean, and the staff accommodated our impromptu group of mourners on our way to a memorial service.

The restaurant has upgraded its decor and looks amazing. The salad bar Island offers an array of fruits and salad makings, and the dessert bar of course is amazing.

This has turned into one of my go-to to places when I’m looking for an inexpensive meal. The reason it’s inexpensive is because of my senior status. I can go for breakfast and get all you can eat bacon and eggs that they keep on the line until noon. They have omelets and stuff before that but I don’t need anything fancy. It costs me under $9 for the meal. It’s about the same price if I go between 2 and 4 p.m. for the senior lunch. You know how you go to a buffet and you feel like you have to eat a lot to justify the price if it’s in the $12 to $15 range? Well when a meal costs me under $9 I don’t have that feeling so I’m perfectly happy to get a couple of their little bowls of soup, a plate of food, and a dessert if I have room. If I’m there after 4 p.m. when they start serving the steaks then sometimes I will get a small steak to finish off my meal and I have to say their steaks are excellent. I always ask for a small piece, red in the middle. I hit less gristle in my steak here then I do at the popular Roadhouse style steak houses in town. Of course there are items I end up not caring for so I just don’t get those again. Another thing I like is I can load up on vegetables so my plate of food usually includes a lot of spinach, turnip greens, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, Etc. I can’t think of any other restaurant in town where I can get such a variety of vegetables in one plate. I’ve had their pot roast with vegetables and it is excellent but I’m not crazy about their chicken. I’ve been there a couple times when they had prime rib available and it was darn good also although probably not as good as what I had at Big Texan and Texas Roadhouse, not to mention Embers. But I end up paying close to $20 for my meal when I eat at those places. Golden Corral is close to me and reasonably priced so I will keep going back.
