This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal – the food is consistently good and the staff are very kind. I also really like that it’s never crowded since it’s kind of hidden away. I come here at least once per week to enjoy a quiet and relaxing meal away from work. Highly recommended!

I really like this place. They give you big portions. Lots of flavor. Their beans and rice are great. They have a big drink selection. Their beef enchiladas and tacos are my favorite. They are on the pricey end.

Very authentic Mexican food and drinks. The margarita is phenomenal here. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Very convenient location in downtown. Delectable food. Casadella cheese, burger taco, chicken soup, shrimp fajita and nachos. of course they have a homemade guacamole

Came here for Cinco. While in town. Our server was great.. We really enjoyed the margarita flight… Food was decent.. They definitely was working hard in there , meaning the staff was attentive and good vibes.. Good clean spot and that park right outside is a good spot to get a good walk in…. Gordo was good to go.

This place is so cute! If you want good tacos but don’t want to be around too many people, this is the place for you! They have daily deals 6-9pm; I went on Tuesday and got a discount on tacos and shots. Asada tacos were delicious and the pitcher margarita was perfect to split between 2 people! Definitely would come back!

veggie quesidellas were delicious. veggie fajitas had nice variety of veggies served in cast iron skillet. Tortilla chips were delicious with two salsa, green and red. Margaritas were fantastic. Mondays the Margaritas are discounted. They’are on lower level; below level of Mariano’s grocery. Entrance on the outside. See dog park nearby which is very nice. Close to Millennium Park. Support small business

This restaurant has a nice and cozy setting. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. The salsa came out in two containers, a green and a red. I prefer a little more zing than what they serve here so if you’re into mild flavors you can give them a try! I tried the corn tortilla tacos and they had a taste that was not overwhelming. Give them a go and see what you think! Enjoy!

The three different corn tortilla Mole, Fish, and Carnitas tacos were delicious. So were the salsas. When it came time to pay my bill I was owed $1.83. The server gave me a dollar back and decided to keep the .83¢ for herself. I *really* don’t like this trend in food servers deciding to keep a portion of the customers change before we have even tipped. If you didn’t have change then you should give change in the customers favor. Food servers: just give the correct change back. Most customers will leave a tip before we leave but we at least want the correct change back. It annoys me so, that if this trend in servers keeping our change continues I’ll just let them keep the literal change and be on my way when I typically give 17-20% tip. But the food server was pleasant and attentive and did a good job otherwise.

Went here for lunch with some coworkers and while the servers were friendly and attentive, the food itself was just okay. I got mole chicken, chorizo, and shrimp tacos, all of which were average and didn’t wow me. The chorizo specifically was really mushy (usually it should be crispy) and the single-wrapped corn tortillas were falling apart as I ate. The beans and rice were also just okay. I feel like you can definitely get better Mexican food in other parts of the city, but for the Loop these tacos are decent and will fill you up

Felt like some tacos before checking out of the Fairmont, and Gordo’s is literally across the street, so I decided to give it a shot. I placed my order on their website, which was super easy. The website said that pick up would be ready between 15 and 20 mins, but it was all packed and ready by the time I got there, which was under 10 mins. The tacos tasted good, but they could use a bit more filling. The asada taco had only a few strips of beef. The corn was too salty and sour for my liking and the guac was ok. My order of 2 tacos, a side of guac, and corn worked out to $20. Overall, decent Mexican food at reasonable prices (relative to downtown Chicago), but not delicious enough to bring me back.
