Greek Souvlaki was founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos. They were the first to bring yeeros (gyros) to Utah. It was a family visit back to Greece that sparked the idea of a restaurant. Lee’s brother, Tasos Petropoulos, owned a small restaurant serving yeeros in Pireaus and Lee noticed that the tourists loved them. At first, Greek Souvlaki only sold three items: yeeros (gyro), souvlaki, and beefteki. The red sauce was the specialty sauce, in fact white sauce was added many years later! With Mary’s home made recipes and Lee’s inventive and creative mind, they added many other items to their menu. The business has grown with two additional stores since Lee and Mary retired in the year 2000. Great customer service, good quality products, …

I ordered a simple cheeseburger combo with fries and drink. The cheeseburger was drenched in fry sauce on top and bottom bun. I’m not a big fan of the sauce so it threw me off a little. Other than that the burger was good. They weren’t shy with the fries, they were consistently thick and lightly seasoned. The customer service was good with little wait time. $11, worth it.

I do not like giving out bad reviews, but in this case, it is warranted. A group of us went here for lunch, the people were friendly, the restaurant was clean and inviting. The food, however, left much to be desired. Not one of us was able to eat the meal that we ordered, and we ended up just throwing it out.

I love gyros.. and when it comes to gyros in the Salt Lake Valley there are only two places that do it right. Greek Souvlaki and Mad Greek… Greek Souvlaki always fills them full of meat and all the goodies! Definitely worth stopping in when nearby! And worth the drive if you’re not!

The young lady who took my order was just a doll… She was great with my very full of energy son. And I kept changing my mind and not once did she make me feel like a pain in the a#$ I was being.. if it helps to know who she is for management to let her know I was there about 8 p.m on 7/19/2023

The workers were very kind and attentive. The food was excellent. I went for my birthday even though it’s not a full restaurant and they put tables together for my family and I to dine together. The food is always hot and fresh. The grill cook in the back is always seeming to be working hard. I really enjoy it here for being a fast dine restaurant.

I had the Philly Gyro combo and it was really excellent. The fries and shake were great too. I thought it was a little expensive but after I had finished my meal it felt worth the price.

I would have to say its outrageously good given that this is a drive thru chain. The beef gyro is a little dried out, but the chicken souvlaki is just perfect. Portions are solid for the price.

Really clean and delicious Greek food here! Their staff are really help and will answer any questions. Plenty of seating AND, they have a drive through also! I KNOW!!! It’s so convenient, especially on snowy days, in Utah!

Great food!! Greek Souvlaki has my favorite french fries of any fast food restaurant, they’re good at any location and every time. The fry sauce is delicious too. Reasonable prices and good portion sizes. I’m gluten intolerant (non celiac) and low fodmap. I get the fries, frysauce, and a rice plate with chicken skewers and tzatziki, no chickpeas or onions, and I don’t eat the onions from the skewers. Or the pita bread. Never have gotten sick or had a gluten reaction. 10/10 recommend!
