Hello my name is Marianna and I’m the chef and the owner at Greek Taverna Ammos, formerly Table2201in Pompano Beach. My origins are from Greece, where I was inspired to cook. I have held onto recipes that grandmothers and mother have used in the past. I believe in cooking old-style: fresh, simple and healthy. We at Greek Taverna Ammos would like you to come and try our dishes, inspired from the past and cooked to delight.
Our fish gets delivered daily, a choice Bronzini,Swordfish,Grouper Filet or Snapper. Our pastries are homemade, a selection of baklava,cheesecake baklava or our own yugort mousse. Our flavors will take you to another level.

Food was wonderful. We had the beet salad and octopus starters which were incredible. The octopus was tender and juicy whilst being charred deliciously. We had seafood pasta and the grilled fish which were both wonderful. The fish was delicate a herbaceous with delicious rice and salad. The pasta was also lovely without an overpowering fishy flavor to the sauce. All the food was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

θαυμάσιος!!!!!! Fabulous, wonderful. We have been living in Pompano for 3 years and have passed this great restaurant saying, we gotta try it. We’ll we did and we loved it! Adamanzia our wait person is the daughter of the owners and chef, lovely young woman. We ordered to start the Greek dips with fresh homemade pita… so good. Each dip was different from Yogurt with lemon and garlic, red pepper and feta and eggplant … so good. We had the beet salad with goat cheese and greek salad. Main meal was of course the wonderful lamb chops and bronzini. Both were done to perfection and well presented with greens and potatoes. Very well seasoned.

Staying at Pompano beach area for europeans means there are a lot of fish places but american style( oversized portions and often tasteless). We’ve found this place and decided to give it a go and was not disappointed. Delish traditional dips, amazing branzino with most delish sauce ( mine) and juicy octopus( my husbands dish)
