The service is wonderful! We wanted to go outside because it was a beautiful day and the deck is very nice. They were closing, but they let us stay late. The prices were great and the food is wonderful. They gave us fries for free (recommend cheese fries, lemonade, and pasta) The best part was they gave us ice cream at the end for free! Great family place. Sorry ice cream melted by the time I took a pic.

I’ve been eating at Hub’s since I was a child in the 90s and have continued to do so throughout my life. Their food has always given the comfort of a home cooked meal while always maintaining restaurant quality. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and they’ve been a pillar of the Skokie community for generations. With indoor and outdoor dining options, and the best Greek potatoes you’ll ever have, I never swing through town on my travels without stopping in for a delicious gyro, and leaving satisfied. :}

I have been coming here since the 1980s, though yesterday was my first time here in almost 20 years. When I lived in the area I went almost weekly. Yesterday’s meal was a fantastic trip down memory lane with some great friends from the old neighborhood. I had the skirt steak sandwich and my friend had the 1/2 bbq chicken; it tasted the same as it did 20 years ago. They now apparently bottle their own sauce through a separate entity and it tastes just like before. Even the staff is the same as it was almost 40 years ago. This place is a treasure. I often gravitate to Herm’s or Poochies or even Grecian Kitchen when I am in the area. However, don’t sleep on hubs, this place is fantastic and has amazing consistency across decades. I have only been to the Lincoln Ave location one time as I grew up around the corner from the Demeter St. location. A true Skokie icon!

Hubs used to be a reliable consistent experience. The 1/2 Greek chicken was not fresh, I returned it they replaced it with another plate of not fresh Greek Chicken…super disappointing. It’s sad to see what ‘was a great restaurant’ serving day old food. I will not be back. BUYER BEWARE.

I joke that Hub’s is why I moved back to Chicago! Food is good and you leave there full. No frills, just good food. Update 8/2023: still good food, we try to eat here at least twice a month even though we don’t live in the area. Greek half chicken, Greek village salad and gyros are our favs.

I grew up in the area and Hub’s is a neighborhood staple. Food is always fresh and tasty. Their sauce is better than other area restaurants or store bought brand.
