Overall delicious and elevated food options in a really lovely Japanese style environment that’s got oak wood lining practically every surface, plus a price tag to match. I would recommend the dinners for a special night out, but unfortunately it’s a little pricey to be something I’d frequent very often. Honestly, for the price, I’m inclined to go somewhere else—I’m not convinced the dishes are at the level they should be both in flavor, uniqueness, and portion size. BUT the interior decor is quite exquisite. The service is pretty standard, no complaints there.

Itoko is lovely and sushi is worthy of trying! Impressive smaller menu compared to Momotaro’s large format menu. The nigirizushi was definitely the highlight of my meal. Wish the robata section offered more other than salmon and beef sliders, otherwise, there is a pretty good variety of dishes.

Had such a lovely happy hour at the bar here – currently offering a really nice happy hour until 7pm! The service was outstanding and the food / drinks were fantastic, such a fun experience and while it felt like really special, 5 star dining – the staff and servers were so approachable and made it incredibly welcoming and warm to be there as well. Would highly recommend!

beautiful new space with lots of options both seafood and not. Right away, they had a gluten free (as well as vegetarian) menu. The cocktail and sake options are great. The octopus starter and bite of otoro were amazing. We got the beef Chahan which was okay but next time I would choose another sharing plate (most likely the chicken wings). Only complaint is that the sushi bar seating doesn’t allow you to see them preparing the sushi , but is still worth it since it includes an additional starter which was my favorite bite of the night with crispy salmon skin, salmon, topped with roe. Would definitely go back!

Exactly what you’d expect from the guy who was the executive chef at Momotaro – amazing fish and incredible robata dishes (the chicken skewer was out of this world).

3.5 stars. Great sushi, drinks, dessert, and service. The tataki was still partially frozen but the sauce was good. The shishito peppers were bland. The fried chicken came with seasoning that reminded me of Chinese cumin bbq that was poorly executed.

Great new Japanese restaurant in a modern two levels setting, can’t believe this place used to be Southport Lanes.

Really fun menu, everything is very unique but not over the top. It’s the “cousin” restaurant of Momotaro, so if you like the food there, you’ll likely like this as well. It was on the pricy side, but that was to be expected based on the menu and service. I had great service, the staff was super fun to talk to and clearly liked the place. I’ll be coming regularly.

Been a long time fan of Momotaro, amazed to see that they are able to out-do themselves. Everything is creative, tasty, and fresh. What a treat this is!
