I tasted Jamaican food for the first time in Pensacola and loved it. However, my experience here fell short. The ox tails were old & the gravy was straight kitchen bouquet. The rice and peas were extra dry. And to make matters worse, the boy server had the audacity to be arrogant like the food was going to be on point. I waited over 20 minutes for food that I don’t wish to ever eat again. From what I understand the food quality has been on a steady decline. I definitely will not be back.

The food was okay, it tasted home made which can be a good and bad thing. I can make better Mac and cheese at home. The attitude of the guy who serves the food was off putting. He came across as rude and like he didn’t want to be there. I was very polite to him and he still had an attitude like I offended him. Wasn’t what I expected I won’t go back. I did notice he washed his hands prior to prepping my plate and I do appreciate.

I came for the brown strw chicken. It was 1130 so I knew the food would be fresh, but they did not have any brown stew chicken that day. We ordered the jerk chicken wings, rice and peas and meat patties. Everything was delicious. I can only imagine how good the brown stew chicken might have been.

We had oxtails and stewed chicken. Very good… The chicken and beef patties were great… Wish they had the jerk patties available… I’d definitely visit again. Service was friendly.

Went with a friend because she wanted something exotic. I used to live in Jamaica, and I miss the food and the people. Well, this visit was particularly special because the owner heard me trying to explain sorrel to my friend, and even though he didn’t have enough to sell, he brought us a sample of his own personal stash, so she could try it. The food and the service just bless your soul.

I went there today with my husband after driving 11 miles to find this restaurant because we were passing through the area and wanted some Jamaican food. The guy had an attitude becausei asked what kind of food he had and would like to see what the food looked like because i wanted to make sure the food looks appealing before i spend my money. I’m Jamaican,,We got some curried chicken and some jerk chicken The food wasn’t even tasty. It tasted like he boiled the chicken before he added the curry even the jerk chicken tasted like it was boiled. I didn’t know my husband noticed he was giving me an attitude until we left there he asked me didn’t you see the guy was giving you an attitude that’s when I’m like you should have said it to me inside the store and we would have left the food .

I ate here twice today! The food was delicious! I got the curry chicken the first time and macaroni and cheese. The second time I got brown stew chicken with veggies and Mac and cheese! Both dishes were so goood! Their macaroni is to live for!!! The guy behind the counter was polite and helpful! Will definitely be back to finish trying their menu! The portions are huge and a great value for the amount of food! Fresh and hot home cooked food, a must try in Mobile!

One of the most overlooked restaurants that’s on a busy intersection of Government street. The food here is straightforward: only great, soulful Jamaican dishes that leaves you wondering why you haven’t tried it sooner. The curry goat and classic jerk chicken are must trys.

What a great find! This was our first time here. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly helpful and recommended delicious food. I got the jerk chicken which came with an amazing jerk sauce. I would recommend the surprisingly good cabbage as well. Between the two rice options, the picture shows rice and beans. My wife got yellow rice. Both are good, but I would get the yellow rice next time. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and just eating whatever they reommend!
