I work close to this place and never stopped in until today. I was pleasantly surprised! The couple running the place we’re very friendly and prompt. The food was excellent as well. The only bummer is parking is limited but since they are right by bus depot they have a steady flow of foot traffic looking for a quick bite to eat. The food is tasty and a better option than the golden arches right next door.

One of the VERY VERY FEW places that understands and knows how to make an egg over medium!!!! The whites fully cooked while the yoke is a nice pool to mix with hash or anything else. The price with the amount of food is truly fantastic since it’s wholesome good food.

Great place to grab a bite to eat while in Jefferson Park. It’s quaint, comfortable and perfect for a no fuss quiet meal. Conveniently located within bus/train station…however not really good parking options and absolutely do NOT park behind the restaurant in the little lot or you will get towed. I’ve been here more times than I can count and the food is always fresh, hot and tastes great. There are always daily specials, as well as two soup offerings. Several breakfast and lunch options that ensure you’ll satisfy your cravings! Hours: M-F 6a-3p ~ No Weekends

Right next to the cta transfer hub in Jefferson Park. Made some friends with the awesome bus drivers. Big portions of food. Well worth the price. And make friends with the CTA drivers. They need it. The owner and I assume the daughter runs a two-person seamless operation. Kudos to them !!!

Epic food and friendly atmosphere. Had the double bacon cheese burger with fries. Huge portions! Gonna be stuffed for days. Be sure to make a stop in this grill right outside the blue line CTA station in Jefferson Park.

This diner is a Mom and Pop establishment that makes some delicious meals. One of the cooks is a chef and her soups are amazing. My favorite is her Cabbage Soup. They make up stuff for me that’s not on the menu, like Grilled Cheese and Bacon on Rye (Yum!), and Deconstructed Double Bacon Cheese Burgers (for when I need to buy something now but eat it later). They go out of their way to make their customers happy. And the portions for the prices are extremely generous. The staff is extremely friendly. The restaurant is cleaned frequently. If you are in the mood for some good food, some comfort food, or something tasty, come here.
