Stickball Special

Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Went to this one on staples mill, first of all the people working acted as if they did not want to be there. For $21 for 2 med subs, 1 chicken Philly which asked to add let Tom and mayo to, the other was club supreme. The Philly was mine, it was a 1 on a scale of 1-10, there was no lettuce on it, the sandwich was sloppily put together. The evening manager should be demoted or fired. And the whole staff needs to be trained on customer service.

Seamless ordering and pick up experience, on top of tasty food! Ordered online with some specific directions/additions and it was served exactly as I requested. Order was ready precisely when they said it would be, despite the lengthy lunch line when I arrived. I was able to easily bypass the line and pick up from the online order counter, as I have done in the past. Highly recommend adding bacon to your subs! It’s the best, crispiest bacon of all the local sub places! You can tell they make it fresh! The cheesy rosemary bread is good, too. My favorite sub is the Italian with bacon, mayo, and banana peppers added, Mike’s Way. The giant sub easily serves two people. So good!

If you’re out of ice, the “no ice, sorry” sign belongs at the register, not (only) at the fountain. I don’t appreciate being tricked into paying for something I won’t enjoy. Next time I’m asking for a refund on the whole order.

I gave this One star, but only because 0 stars was not an option. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! If you need a gluten free bun, stay VERY VERY FAR away. I ordered thru doordash. Picked it up myself. The bun on the sub was so bad, I was reassured. Since anyone who has to eat gluten free knows, bread is usually super sub-par.

I come to this location all the time. I decided to try the #64 mushroom and Swiss (provolone for me). When I say that young lady made the F*C^ out my sandwich. I came back again and got the same thing. Everything was super fresh. They always have a smile and they’re so personable. I told her to make the hell outta my sandwich like she did the last time. This location is the definition of friendly and great service. Kudos to them. Keep up the GREAT JOB!!’

Visited this location after work one day in January 2023 only because a coworker and I had eaten there while I was training for a new position. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak 6 inch sub only to find out after I had left the order was missing the raw onions and peppers that I was told would be on the side. I called the location and the young lady that had taken my ordered was very apologetic and insisted I come back on any day to receive a courtesy Philly Cheese sub that would be made correctly. I asked if there is a time limit on redeeming the “free” sub. She stated “no, not at all, come at anytime on any day”.
