Welcome to my Texas BBQ food trailer with top of the line meats, great sides and desserts!! I grew up in South Austin and spent summers visiting grandparents in Rockport. “Papaw” (Jim Yerkes), owned a BBQ place named Jim’s Smokehouse. Working in the restaurant, I learned how he smoked the meats and found my calling. In 1993 I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York and returned to Austin. I was the chef at Siena for several years, then left to raise a family. Now my kids are grown, and I’ve returned to my calling. Man oh man Jim is gonna put the other bbq places around here out of business. We bought two plates to try a little of everything (sausage, brisket, turkey and the baby backs with green chili corn, scallop potatoes, pinto beans and the sriracha slaw) and every last thing was sooooo good! The baby backs and beans are to die for!!! I missed the mac and cheese but will definitely be back again to try it!

We were blown away by our food we picked up tonight. This is the kind of place you’d imagine on a cook off for best BBQ on the Food Network. The brisket and ribs were out of this world. I can’t imagine we’ll go anywhere else in the area again for this type of meal. I’m telling you- do yourself a favor and get some takeout for an easy crowd pleaser weeknight supper. I imagine we’ll be dropping by at least once a week.

Wow, wow. Ordered the 2 meat 2 sides, baby back ribs and brisket with Mac n cheese and scallop potatoes.. tasted amazing, moist, fresh, flavourful, and so good!! 100% will go back many many many more times. Stoaked we have this out in spicewood! Thanks Jim!
