Food: I’ve been to JJ Thai Street about 5 times now, and every single time the food is on point. Love their authentic, no fuss dishes. The first time we went, there were four of us, and we ended up ordering 12 dishes because it was all so flavorful! Thai iced tea is super refreshing for a summer day. Squid is perfectly crispy. Pork belly is an absolute must-have every time. If you want something vegetarian and healthy, their papaya salad is the way to go. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Our favorite place for papaya salad and grilled squid. We loved everything on their menu- lots of spicy items which was perfect for us. They even accommodated our little one with a high chair. Staff was super nice and atmosphere inviting – will be back again soon to try other things on the menu.

We got a iced coffee, papaya salad, tom yum soup, pork belly rice, chicken noodle soup, and egg custard sticky rice and it came out to $70 pre-tip. The food were all great. The rice dish could have had more rice and been hotter (it was a bit lukewarm when served). Service was amazing. We were greeted with great smiles. Will be coming back!

Casual Thai restaurant that serves street-style food rather than your traditional Thai food. It was packed even though we went on a Monday evening. Its relatively small inside and only a few tables outdoor. They also have a BYOB policy. The savory and spicy tones are not describable — like traditional Thai cuisine on flavor steroids. The tofu was hella crispy and the spices tray elevated it even more. The bua loy puak dessert tasted like warm, sweet coconut milk with taro and the kha non mor kaeng was a thick eggy custard cake with similar sweet taro flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant for people who like Thai cuisine.

Simply put, this place deserves me to drive back and forth for eight hours from Michigan to Chicago all the time. The best Thai street food you could find in the Midwest, if not the whole US.

The food is good. But it is a bit too small for 10+ tables. I waited for more than 40 minutes for my fried rice. It tastes good. but not worth $23 especially after 40+ minutes waiting.

The food was fantastic here. We ordered a squid appetizer which had the perfect pepper sauce. I am super picky when it comes to pepper sauces and this one was perfect. It had a spicy kick with a hint of limey zest with a bit of sweetness from the Thai peppers.

Delicious. After living in South East Asia for 11 years, this was such a treat. My dining buddy was in charge of ordering. They picked the American versions of dishes (aka chicken). I prefer pork or beef to chicken. Still good… but go with the tastier protein

I simply cannot understand bad reviews for this place. I try to visit all the Thai restaurants in the city and by far, this has been my favorite! Food is amazing, fresh, not oily at all (difficult to achieve), and also not very expensive. Everyone working there is Thai, which means that you will only get authenticity!!!
