Based on the numerical rating of this place, I expected a lot more than what I got. I should have actually read the reviews first. I rarely eat out alone, but decided to treat myself to lunch. It was not a treat. I ordered the Flippy Floppy fish sandwich and got a tiny piece of fish on a bun that was overloaded with breading that was clearly fried way too long. I expected moist, flaky cod, but most parts of it were dry and crunchy. Half of the sweet potato fries that are an upcharged side weren’t cooked long enough so they were still too firm for my liking. The taste was mediocre, definitely not in line with the rating. The portion size should definitely be a bit larger for $15. I’ll probably never visit again and would definitely NOT recommend.

I ordered the house hamburger which was really good! It is REAL MEAT.. it worth it every penny…however, they forgot to put in the lettuce, onions and tomatoes.. so, it could have been even better! I’ll be back in for another burger but pleaseee this make sure it comes with EVERYTHING!

My husband and I had a very poor experience today. We wanted to try a new place in Jax and decided to come here. The cashier was pleasant however when we ordered our food, I had requested no onions on my food due to dietary conditions and she obliged. When I received my food I unfortunately found loads of onions on them. I didn’t want to be a pain but my husband decided to take the pizza back and ask for it to be remade. They brought it back very quickly, come to find out they just gave me my same pizza back having “taken” off the onions, yet I still found more onions. That is absolutely unacceptable business practice. That is a complete slap to the face. I’ve been a manager in food service for many years and never would I ever do that to a paying customer. Not only did that occurs with my dish, but my husbands burger was so burnt all he could taste was char. Very unpleasant experience today. Only thing that somewhat saved this meal was the fries we ordered. Right after my husband finished eating, he has to go to the bathroom where he threw up everything he ate—I would not recommend this place to anyone. A waste of $40.

I was pet sitting for a friend across the street. I thought I’d just hit up Jimmy John’s on Laura street after I was done but just happened to park in front of Jumpin Jax. They were about to close in an hour so I ran in and ordered a Jumpin Jax burger with pepper jack cheese. There wasn’t a lot of fries but they were yummy! Well seasoned, fresh, and hot.

I usually check out reviews before I dine anywhere but give how great I heard this place is I decided to give it a try. I ordered something small to try out just in case, it was kids cheese burger and fries. The burger had a burnt like bitter taste to it and the fries had a gross burnt taste to it as well and threw it away. At that point I wasn’t going to back but I decided to give them another try and order the same thing. The burger still had a bitter taste to it and I’m guessing it was premade and frozen. The fries however was ok this time and didnt taste burnt. There’s other items I wanted to try but given that the 2nd time was not great at all after just only trying something small, I feel everything else will be just as bad. I do want to say the staff is really nice and the atmosphere is really nice and welcoming.

We haven’t even eaten our food and I’m already giving 5 stars! I’ve never been to an establishment where every single employee was so helpful and friendly. The service was UNBELIEVABLE!!! (And I’ve been in the service industry for over 20 years now). When visiting Jacksonville this is a must do! Get the sweet potato cheesecake!!!!

I ordered a burger and chips and my coworker ordered a Greek salad. The food was good, especially for the price. We had planned to dine in but the noise was so loud we ordered to go. Service was great.

Just tried a burger at Jumpin’ Jax… First impression was that it appeared to be a pre-formed (possibly frozen) patty, maybe not hand-pattied, relatively thin for a place that seems to specialize in burgers, and the grill marks were just sheer bitterness, it was all I could taste. In fact I’m certain that will be repeating on me all night. I was halfway through it and thought, “I never want to eat this burger again.” The HOF chips were hard, not sure if that’s normal or if they were stale. I did like the Cole Slaw, it was slightly sweet, slightly tangy and just a touch creamy, but very fresh. I know this place is pretty popular, so maybe we just got them on a bad day. ♀️

My family loves the “which came first” burger and the sliders. My husband and I are vegetarian/pescatarian, and we love the BBQ chicken pizza without the chicken, and their plant based beef burger is delicious with the garlic aioli. The cauliflower bites are a favorite as well. The staff is always very nice and the environment is always clean. Great variety of options on the menu. Definitely recommend!
