The $25 lunch special was delightful! For our rolls, we selected the negi hama and the sixth samurai – both were beautifully balanced and fresh! In terms of nigiri, we got super white tuna, salmon, and something else I can’t remember. We also got uni nigiri and it was divine! Service was attentive and quick, and the atmosphere was hip and modern. Overall, a lovely midday treat!

The food is very good, fresh fish, good price, the time to wait for one dish to another is great. The environment is very nice and cozy. I will definitely be back! The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the service provided by the waitress, she is probably the same as the comments here, she is not friendly and it seemed that she didn’t want to work, but the other waitress at the next table was friendly for example. But the food makes up for it in the end.

Wow! The sushi was so fresh and the portion sizes were perfect! I went during lunch for their lunch special which is very affordable ($25 for maki or signature roll with 6pieces of nigiri or sashimi). I also ordered the Uni and it was out of this world! They really know how to plate and make a beautiful dining experience!

gas sushi. had a great night with a squad of 7. we got sake flights, one buddy ordered the nine which was worth it off presentation alone, i got nigiri night with the three one two roll and it was so good. music was on point and at the perfect volume. staff super nice. absolutely recommend

My husband and I just visited this new gem and we were so glad we did. The service and food was phenomenal! Each piece of fish was delicious and melts in your mouth. This is a perfect place for a date night or a girls night out. I can’t wait to go back and try more 🙂

KYOKU is the sister restaurant to Raisu in Irving Park, and it more than lives up to expectations. The presentation, the taste, and the ambience makes for a spectacular eating experience. I’m not a guy who really cares about the way the food looks, but even I paused to appreciate how darn pretty it all was. As great as it was to look at, it was even better to taste. KYOKU does an amazing job of highlighting the unique flavors and textures of each type of fish, and the rice, seaweed and variety of toppings complement the fish wonderfully. An impressive spot to share with a spouse, partner, friend, or yourself. Strong 5.

Finally found a high quality sushi place that I like, now is soft opening , the owner said the Omakase is coming soon , they also offer a private room for party which is pretty nice, because it’s hard to find a place can have a good quality sushi also has enough space for party. The scallop is my favorite , and the ikura is the plus . I usually not a urchin fan but the fresh urchin is very nice , all I tasted is fresh and sweet not even fishy ,so far all the dish I got is pretty nice, I wound highly recommend kyoku sushi.

Sushi that sweeps you off your feet. This new spot serves some of the best fresh fish preparations in the city. Nigiri special is a must try. We did everything a-la-carte and got the Windy City, Sixth Samurai, and Lobster signature makis. Loved every bite and can’t wait to hit this place again to try their omakase experience. Service was top tier and the setting warm and comfy.
