I usually only do positive reviews but this was so awful I had to speak up. This is my first time in Bowling Green and the first time to Kyoto Gardens. I got 2 different deep fried sushi rolls and they looked very unappetizing. I bit into each one and I cannot tell you the horrible taste I endured. My mom and dad had really disgusting food as well. The only thing that tasted decent was the egg roll. We had to go to find the owner after they said he was going to come to the table but he never did. He only comped one of the sushi rolls and made a ton of excuses as to why he wasn’t comping both. I never send my food back but I was so disappointed with this experience. I didn’t order anything else and I left and ate somewhere else. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

I have eaten at several Japanese restaurants and this is undoubtedly the worse food I have ever had. I haven’t had any other places I didn’t like even with some better than others but this one was trash. It’s edible food so I didn’t complain but it’s out of a can trash. The service was great so I didn’t tell him the food sucks because it is t his fault. Shogun is directly across the street so just go there it’s a no brainer. I honestly would have been happier with any of the fast food in the area and I was trying to avoid all of that garbage ‍♂️.

Could not chew the beef in a stir fry. Manager just commented that”that’s the beef they sent”. Could not have cared less. Server was sweet and apologetic. Will NEVER eat here again!

One of the few good places to eat at here in BG. Well balanced carbs, veggies and meat all at a good price. Why pay for fast food when you can pay the same for better quality food?

We had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to come over to ask our drinks. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for our food. 3 tables that came in 20 minutes after us got their food first. I got teriyaki chicken but it was just drenched in soy sauce. The potatoes weren’t cooked at all. I couldn’t even use my fork to cut it. My fiancé got vegetable lo mein and it had some disgusting sauce on it. With 3 things of vegetables. 2 slivers of carrot and one piece of broccoli. This place is a joke. Not worth the money at all.

Amazing experience each time I’ve been. I order take out from here frequently and it’s always ready within 5-10 minutes. Staff is very friendly and food is delicious.

The food was very bland. I got chicken teriyaki or something like that and it was basically flavorless. The rice was greasy and bland.

I absolutely love Kyoto’s. Always fresh and the employees are nice and pleasant. I usually get the teriyaki chicken with all the veggies and a side of extra teriyaki sauce.

We hadn’t been in awhile and were really disappointed to see how downhill this restaurant has gone. Don’t go!
