I went on 05/20/23 around 6-7 P.M. right from the start the place seemed to be a little too dark I had turn on the flashlight from my iPhone to see the menu. The place was also hot even the waitress agreed when we asked if she can turn on the ac. They have small portions and overpriced food/drinks. My in laws went 3-5 weeks ago and told us they over charged them on the liquor. It does look like a small okay place to just drink and listen to “live” music at night according to some reviews I’ve heard.

We entered the place and as soon as we walked in we saw various red flags. One, the tables and chairs are not comfortable together. The chairs are too small for those tables. Too much light. Two, the chips served at the beginning seemed old , not crispy. The salsa was not bad at all. Three the food was poorly made the shrimp cocktail was missing flavor and shrimp (overpriced). The mariscos soup was given to me with a jaiba that seemed old also and overcooked. We paid 40ish dollars for food that was poorly made, tasteless. I added a star just to compensate for the server on the other hand he was great. Very attentive and polite. We had to go buy a marisco soup at Tacos KISSI same size for 8.00 dollars. Will not go again they gained 40 dollars but lost a customer. White plate Jaiba Loca. $14. Black plate Tacos KISSI $8.

My first visit was on the evening of 04/30/22. I had a very enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, the location is convenient and away from heavy traffic congestion, the food was excellent, the tables were very clean, and the live music was really great. On top of that the waitress was one of the best in Laredo. I didn’t get her name, but she gets six stars. I ordered the camarones al ajillo which was $14.99. Yes it was only 8 shrimp, but the plate came with rice, which was very good, avocado slices and a small salad. The garlic sauce in which the shrimp were presented was really excellent and flavorful. I was filled up after finishing this delicious plate of food, which was delivered to the table very promptly and aesthetically pleasing in appearance. In regards to the live music, it was a single female vocalist and a keyboardist and they played a great variety of Mexican music. I requested “Como La Flor” by Selena, and they immediately performed it beautifully, along with a whole medley of Selena hits (R.I.P. Selena). Overall, between the ambience of the place, the very attentive waitress, the awesome music, and overall experience, I really like this place and will definitely visit again soon. Please keep up the good work and I’ll refer people your way.

The empanadas are crispy tacos which are ok and their shrimp empanizado are Chile seasoning with limon . They are not breaded. Their menu is very misleading. My daughter had a burger which was dry. You can tell it was a frozen patty. The music was very loud for a restaurant .
