This was definitely an experience it’s an open restaurant inside of Eataly. Meaning there are no walls separating the restaurant from the rest of the other restaurants or shop. It’s on a higher floor to a view overlooking downtown chicago. The server was extremely pleasant, Informative and patient. It was for Eataly’s restaurant fest and we got a deal two courses for $26, there were specials on the wine as well. The pasta came with a table side presentation. There was one pasta dish that was more on the bland side but all the other dishes tasted amazing. Definitely worth the experience.

Your party is seated as long as half the people have arrived. This is a good policy, but was thankfully abandoned on a slow Wednesday at 6pm, leaving time for a couple people in our group to park and find us on the second floor in the back of Eataly while others could sit and puruse the menu, get drinks and enjoy the view.

If you’re a fan of authentic Italian cuisine, La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Chicago is a true gem for food lovers seeking an THE MOST AUTHENTIC taste outside of Italy This place is a must-visit restaurant that delivers a truly immersive dining experience. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with the tantalizing aroma of fresh pizza and pasta, and the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal. The star of the show is undoubtedly the food. I decided to try the Ravioli di Ricotta con Mandorle and for my drink I got the Italian 75. Indulge in a symphony of flavors with the exquisite Ravioli di Ricotta con Mandorle, This culinary masterpiece features homemade ravioli that are filled with a sumptuous blend of ricotta cheese and spinach, creating a harmonious balance of creamy and earthy notes. The ravioli are carefully crafted in-house, using only the finest ingredients to ensure the utmost quality. The pasta is rolled out to perfection, enveloping the rich ricotta and spinach filling in a delicate embrace. The result is a pillow-like texture that is both tender and satisfying, with the flavors of the ricotta and spinach melding together in a heavenly symphony of taste. The almonds are carefully toasted to bring out their natural flavors, and a little hint of honey adding a layer of complexity to the dish. They provide a perfect contrast to the creamy ricotta filling, creating a harmonious balance of textures and flavors that will leave your taste buds craving for more. The perfect cast to be a co-star in this meal was the Italian 75, a premium Lemonade that brings complexity and depth to the cocktail. Infused with a blend of aromatic spices, the Seedlip Spice and juniper adds a rich and warming element to the drink. It’s a perfect choice for those who appreciate the nuances of a well-crafted cocktail without the alcohol content. La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly Chicago is a must-visit for Italian food enthusiasts looking for authentic and memorable dining experience. From the delicious food made with high-quality ingredients, to the welcoming ambiance and attentive service, this restaurant delivers a culinary journey to Italy right in the heart of Chicago. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of Italy in the Windy City! Buon appetito!

The ambiance is very casual and felt a bit like a cafeteria. Extensive wine list and a handful of mixed cocktails. Rum punch was delicious. We had green bruchetta app and it was unusual without the tomatoes but really tasty. The pasta was good, but surprised the sauces were a bit on the salty side.

The antipasti and spaghetti were our favorites. The paccheri was a tad undercooked (the innermost part of the pasta was raw), though the flavors were good. The food came out in a reasonable time and the service was very nice, just a little slow.

After all the hype of eating at eataly for their house made pasta and the Instagram videos of the cacio pepe, this place falls way short of their price point. The meatballs taste like they are frozen even though they are house made. The cacio Pepe was decent. I literally took one bite of the Tagliatelle, got it boxed up and gave it to the homeless on the way home. I gave all my leftovers to the homeless on the way home, that’s how bad it is. Old fashion was shaken and poured over a large amount of ice so it tasted super watered down, should be shake, poured, then iced if in that big of a glass. $160 for a really really bad meal. Save your money, go to coco pazzo, piccolo sogno, or alla vita instead.

Apps were good, waiter was very nice however my pasta was undercooked , I know what AL Dente is but this was not it. I didn’t feel like waiting for a new plate. Food was delicious but undercooked 1 and the waiter saw us done eating for 30 mins and had us waiting for the check which lead to our parking being 50$ instead of 30$ .

The Salad is 90% bread, 1 small slice of cucumber and a few cherry tomatoes. The waiter was clueless as to why that was a problem. For this price point, that’s sad.
