Seafood (calamari, octopus, shrimp, scallops) on black noodles in a perfectly blended tomato base orange sauce. So good! And slow roasted pork shoulder, melt in your mouth. Mike was a wonderful host, everyone made us feel so welcome and special. Beautiful outdoor seating.

Mike K is single handedly is the reason why we decided to dine at this fine establishment. He saw us reading the menu outside and gave us the entire history of the building and restaurant before he invited us in less than 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. We just had gotten to the city after a long 7 hour drive and he made us feel right at home. He even gave us a tour of the original upstairs dining area that survived the old Chicago fire. Most importantly, the food was perfectly on par for what we needed. I recommend the Fried rice balls and pork shoulder dish they have. A most when I’m the Gold Coast neighborhood

Great time with friends. Slav, the restaurant manager was able to accommodate our party of 20 when we reached out earlier in the week and we had drinks and appetizers in the front room. The staff was very nice and the calamari and espresso martinis were amazing. Thanks again!

My pasta dish was dry. The lemon cake was dry. The steak was too well done. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for the food. The ambience is lovely and the server really tried to please us. It was a kitchen problem!

We went there last night for happy hour hoping for a pizza. We arrived at 5:00, happy hour ends at 6;00. There was no hostess, but a woman from the behind the bar seated us after waiting several minutes. There was only one waiter in charge of entire patio, and by about 5:10 took our drink order then quickly took orders from other newly seated people from the tables around us. At 5:20 he delivered our drinks and I asked about the pizza and he said the kitchen was no longer taking pizza orders! I don’t blame the waiter but MANAGEMENT should specify on the menu and on the sign out front that even though happy hour lasts until 6:00, you’re order has to be in by a certain time. We were FURIOUS! Our waiter tried to ask the kitchen to make an exception but they refused. MANAGEMENT shouldn’t punish the customers because they only have one waiter trying to service the entire patio.

Great restaurant. Food was great here. Went for thanksgiving. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The outdoor area was nice too, only downside is that they need some music out there and a couple more heaters. The tent they have is awesome, but wind and cold air still finds its way thru. Overall, pizza was great, pasta was great too.
