Food quality and service is outstanding. As someone who regularly dines at rubys places, Lisse is absolutely comparable.

This place is a high-priced mess. They apparently think their food and service is high-end. It’s not and they even added extra items to some of our bills. I order a beer before dinner and never even get asked if I want another in almost 2 hours yet they add another one on my tab. Others with us had similar issues.

The service was great! I was disappointed in my steak. I asked for medium and got medium rare. My server took it back for kitchen to cook longer but it still was medium rare. Gave up and just ate it.

Both terrible service and cooks! Went here for my birthday dinner, and was more then disappointed. Both times that we were out of drinks I had to go looking for someone, anyone. For a steakhouse I expect them to know how to cook a medium rare steak. First, it was overcooked. When they brought me my second steak they again never checked on me and my meal or our empty drinks..had to go find someone to tell them…manager completely agreed it was rare. Yes I did take a pic. We All agreed to leave but honestly w it being my birthday dinner I would have like something, anything for the disappointment. They didn’t even turn there backs when asking for someone or a drink and no they were no busy, at all. Top floor was ghost town.. to the point one couldn’t get a drink. And that was on a Friday night. June 16, 2023

I had the pleasure of eating here back in February after a promotion and the steak was phenomenal! The seasoning they use is top notch; one of, if not the best steak I’ve had hands down. Frites were great & we tried the bitterballen. I wasn’t a fan of the peanut sauce, but that’s just personal preference! I was slightly disappointed in the portions, as we were sharing, and it really wasn’t enough for one, let alone two adults. My drinks were great as well, and definetly poured with a heavy hand The dining area did feel a bit crowded tho, and not as “classy” as some of the other steakhouses I’ve been to, but what matters is the food itself and it was very unique and delicious!

I never thought that I would enjoy the best scallop I have ever eaten at a Dutch Steakhouse, but their scallops are amazing. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. We enjoyed an order as an appetizer, they were delicious. We also enjoyed the Betterballen appetizer. The only way to describe it is a creamy delectable meatball. The four of us all had the Van Gogh, the 8 oz Barrel Cut Filet. A great steak. I enjoyed it with a topping of Smokey Blue Cheese Butter. For dessert I enjoyed the creme brulee. It was rich and creamy, just like it should be. All around it was a great dinner.

Amazing food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere! I made reservations to check out this unique Dutch-inspired steakhouse. Parking was a challenge! Be sure to arrive early. We started out with some of their excellent specialty drinks and appetizers: old fashioneds, Kentucky sunrise, and Bitterballen (upscale hush puppies). My wife and I ordered a Van Gogh filet; they were perfection. The Hudspot (carrot, onion, potato mash with gravy) was so flavorful as was the Indo-Dutch pulled pork with pickled veggies. I took my wife to the third floor to enjoy the view and our creme brûlée. We will be back.

Great steakhouse in Covington, KY. The price point is not as high as Jeff Ruby’s, but the steak was a tad bit less favorable than one of Ruby’s establishments. So, all in all, a really good steak for a pretty decent price.

Absolutely Amazing. My wife and I started coming here a few times a month and it is 10000 times better than Jeff Rubie’s hands down. Staff is PERFECT, food is to die for. If you want an amazing date night, or just great food, do not look any further. The Van Gough with the amazingly cold wedge salad, you literally can’t go wrong with any choice here.
