We stopped into the Long John Silver/ A&W restaurant for snacks on June first a little before 5:00 PM. I ordered a family size hush puppies and a double order of onion rings along with a vanilla shake. My three family members got sodas and a lemonade milk shake.

Traveled almost 60 miles to eat here since there are no restaurants in Alabama anymore. Food was hot and fresh, almost seemed cooked-to-order after we ordered it. Which is well worth the wait. Prices seemed a bit higher than what I’m used to, but what restaurant hasn’t raised prices in the past year or two? Would love to see LJS, or a dual branded concept (A&W) come back to Northwest Alabama (Florence/Shoals area) so we didn’t have to drive to this location or the one in Lawrenceburg, TN. Love eating at LJS and will continue to visit one when we are in the area of one and hungry. Thanks for a great lunch and we’ll be back.

The service was quick and polite but the food…. Got a family meal with fish and chicken, bit into a piece of fish only to realize that the batter wasn’t even fully cooked, so I know the fish couldn’t have been either… Unpleasant..
