This place was so yummy and the experience of eating here was so lovely. We got the calamari. Did you know it’s not supposed to be hard and chewy? The server brought us two things of bread!! Two! The gnocchi was so so good. I wish it had a little more sauce because the sauce was so absolutely scrumptious. Wish I had room for dessert.

If you’ve never been to Lucia’s, I suggest you drop what you’re doing and run. I swear by that place!! I’ve been dining at Lucia’s all my childhood and I seem to never get tired of anything from that restaurant. Sandwich’s you must try : Grilled chicken sandwich, Sams sandwich on the focaccia bread, Lucia’s favorite & The Ribeye sandwich! Hospitality at Lucia’s is also great! Feels like home.

Lucia’s is my favorite Italian Deli in Chicago by far! Nice thin deli cuts, incredibly fresh bread, fresh lettuce and tomatoes every time. Have been here countless times for lunch and it never disappoints. Also the owners are amazing to chat with. Highly recommend!

A wonderful, authentic, intimate restaurant. We were lucky to get a table for 5 on a Saturday evening. I had the tortellini con pallo! Delicious! Everyone in our party enjoyed their entrees and we shared several appetizers. I wish I obtained the name of our server, she was wonderful!

Zero stars isn’t an option. This is now the 3rd time our order has been cancelled by this restaurant. And they wait until the last minute to do so. So we have a group waiting for food and 10 minutes before it’s to delivered we are notified it’s cancelled for no reason. Absolutely ridiculous. Last time we will ever try this place. Plenty of great places close by to order from.

Such good food, I’d live here haha. We got the eggplant Parm sandwich and the mushroom panini on focaccia. The focaccia was heavenly, toasted just right, not too much lettuce inside so I loved it even more. We also got the pasta fagio soup, which was good too. Definitely want to try the minestrone and the other sandwiches next time. Also their specials looked good, more updates next time I go there. Do check it out!

A REAL taste of Italy in Chicago! My husband and I are ever in search of authentic Italian food. I spent four summers working in Italy but also have in-laws who are Italian. We know Italian food! We find, more often than not, people of different nationalities offering Italian cuisine and while we love ALL cultures, we desire authentic Italian food. Lucia and Dominic offer just such and within moments of sitting down we decided we would return as often as possible. In addition to DELICIOUS cuisine, the patio left nothing to be desired. The interior is tastefully decorated and we have already planned to have our most special celebrations there!

Walked up for Mother’s Day with family and felt unwelcome immediately. Grey haired man who obviously worked/managed the place, even though he saw us coming in, didn’t hold the door for my mother in law to start as she walked in behind him, no hello, welcome, happy Mother’s Day, nothing. But then turned around to welcome us with “you trying to eat here? You have reservations?” Then points at a random list out of our view and says no openings sorry, hands up, rude tone as he’s turning away. Restaurant wasn’t busy and had very obvious open tables. I assured him we were leaving but I should have asked if this is how he is to everyone or mainly just black people.
