Went there on a Friday night prior to them getting their ABC License. My date and I had the whole restaurant to ourselves which made it one of those moments you want to relive over and over. The food was absolutely delicious! Not having the ABC License didn’t matter because I wanted to enjoy the pure taste of the food and again it was delicious! Definitely will be going back again and again.

Stuffed salmon and the seafood dip for me and my party was outstanding. Everyone loved it. Also the Brussels sprouts were seasoned as if they were meat. Absolutely delicious and a perfect place for a lowkey vibe with outstanding food.

Today my friends and I (14 total) had reservations for 12noon. This was all of our first time here. When we arrived we were the only customers and no other customers came in the entire time we were there. There was one waitress and one cook (the owner). The waitress was nice and took our orders I would say about 1pm. I didn’t get my food until about 2pm which was good especially the French toast. Four of the last of my friends did not get their food of shrimp and grits until 45 minutes later which was not hot. I understand as a new business you are still working out the kinks and it’s hard to find good help but to wait over two hours for your food is not a good look. I may give it another try but I highly doubt it.

So I went with a large group on Saturday and first I want to say that the atmosphere and ambiance was radiant. Also the waitress was really nice . As far as the food it was “ok”. The French toast was good but the shrimp and grits came out really late and one of my friends didn’t even get her food . Once we expressed concerned I’m guessing she was the owner was rolling her eyes and didn’t even come out to apologize or provide any explanation. At one point the waitress was so overwhelmed by all of us paying the check she eventually came up to help take payments again not saying thank you etc . I try to support black business and don’t travel to the city alot of times to eat because it’s always a bad experience. The ladies I was with were all high earning professionals who are socialites in the community and word of mouth is the best type of promotion. I will advise my sister in community and business to improve her customer service skills and maybe hire more help. I won’t be back I’ll stick to short pump and the midlothian area but I wish her all the best n the future just please brush up on your customer service skills: it’s important
