Wow. Just wow. The Dal Palak is the most incredible Dal we have found in Chicago. My wife is from London and having also lived in London, where the Indian food is out of this world, we have tried all kinds of places in Chicago. This is a one woman shop and she has a gift. Off the beaten path and worth it. If you try anything, the Dal Palak, spicy, is a must.

Some of the tastiest food in the area. The employees are kind and the food is absolutely delicious and worth the price for the amount you get. Ordered it through Grubhub the last time and the guy spilled it so when I rated the experience a 2/5 on the app that’s what they gave the restaurant which does not reflect how delicious this food is. 10/10 recommend.

I’ve been ordering the Chicken Vindaloo from here for years now and it still to this day is the best Vindaloo I have been able to find in Chicago. I’m not sure how Luzzat is able to be so consistent for such a fair price (I work in food also so I know how hard consistency can be for a restaurant that isn’t charging incredibly high rates), but they are and I am incredibly grateful every time I get to eat from here. It’s incredible food and flavours and I get the sense I’m eating from a very skilled operation every time.

I love this place! If you’re looking for some fancy, overpriced Indian, go to Devon. This place is a mom & pop Indian place run by women and their son (from what I can tell). They have amazing food, decent prices, conveniently located near me. All the reviews on Yelp were amazing, and I agree, so check them out. Most main dishes come with rice, and their samosas are HUGE. Like, the size of a softball huge. And they’re happy to work with all spice levels!

This place ain’t it… if you want better Indian food than this place get a microwavable meal from Trader Joe’s. I ignored all the reviews about poor customer service because they said the food was still good. This was my first mistake. When my friend called to place an order halfway through they hung up on her. I instead turned to Postmates to place an order online. This was my second mistake. After I submitted the order I immediately got a text that the food was ready for pick-up. How could this be you ask? The food was microwaved. When trying to pick up the food, the lady was beyond rude. The food wasn’t good, it was incredibly oily, and lacked flavor. WORSE MEAL I’VE EVER HAD!

There are three great Indian places in Chicago. This is 1 of them. Don’t f around when you order. Also when you get to the place, you know what you’re getting yourself into. Use common sense for expectations. This is spicy grade A hole in the wall knock your hidden gem socks off. Don’t sleep on it.

The best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Just be prepared for lots of oil.

I ordered through DoorDash for dinner. After waiting 30 minutes I got a call from the driver who was supposed to be picking up my food saying that the employee/owner at the restaurant refused to give him my food because “DoorDash doesn’t pay them the right amount!” The driver even went into the restaurant again and I could hear the woman who works there having a tantrum and screaming at him that she won’t give him any food and that she refuses to work with DoorDash (despite her restaurant being on the app and my already having paid for my order.) I’m sorry that you don’t like working with DoorDash, but that’s completely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. Remove your restaurant from their app, stop working with them, do whatever you want, just don’t take it out on the customer who ordered your food, and don’t scream at a delivery driver who is just doing their job. Completely absurd. I can’t possibly recommend anyone to support this business.

Old, greasy samosas. Lentil soup was sour and just plain old. I gave them a try again for the samosas, but it was the same thing. Not only half of the items are gone, the appetizers are gone, and the samosas are full of oil and old flavorless vegetables.
