Mable’s Table Menu – Chicago, IL

Type : American restaurant

Location : Chicago, IL

Some folks collect spoons, thimbles or stamps, my mother collected hungry hearts: friends, family, friends of friends, the downtrodden or the less fortunate she just met on the street. Hand in hand went “Come on in and let’s gets you something to eat” and “sit on down talk to me?” Our table was a never-ending banquet of characters, all with stories Mable wanted to hear while she cooked. She never met a stomach she didn’t want to fill with comfort food of her loving design, and no stomach left without a smile and a healed soul attached to it. It is my dream realized to welcome you to “Mable’s Table” inspired by mom and grandma’s recipes, along with my home taught love of cooking. Come enjoy good comfort food and great service anytime!

Inventive takes on classic American cooking are offered with a full bar in a brick-lined cottage. Based on 382 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.6 stars. Price $$

Small place that has an intimate local feel. Food was great and service even better. Unique twist on traditional flavors. Lots of options in Chi-town but would recommend.

Friend and I recently ate here for dinner. we had booked a table, the restaurant was busy. We had the meatballs and coconut shrimp as a starter and split a main (steak). The food was very good and the server was excellent. Recommended to eat here.

A Chicago favorite. Amazing service: the staff makes you feel like you’re family immediately and are so helpful with picking out the best items on the menu. Everything we ate was incredible, flavorful, and interesting. Can’t wait to be back! I’m always surprised how few people know about this restaurant.

My friends and I went here for brunch. I had the steak and eggs and cinnamon roll pancakes. They both had the prime rib hash. We came here specifically for the hash, as one friend had loved it last time. They both found the meat a little tougher this time. My steak and pancakes were delicious, however.

Very yummy! We had the meatball appetizer, roasted beet salad, brussel sprouts (my favorite part) , surf and turf and filet. Our total for two without gratuity was 146. We were given a 90 minute time limit for our reservation.

Food was amazing! Great customer service, the surf and turf, octopus appetizer is something I would recommend. The atmosphere is very romantic and the have another side that’s more of a bar/chill feel. Definitely will be going back!

My wife and I came here for the first time last night. Ryan took such good care of us and always had an eye on our table! The 16oz ribeye was incredible, coupled with the best brussel sprouts you’ll ever taste is the best way to go! Check out their cocktails menu you won’t be disappointed! We will most definitely be back!

Food was excellent and cocktails were very good. It’s a strange vibe/atmosphere that neither of us cared for. The rustic feel with white napkins gives an upscale vibe. Being told upon entry that they are enforcing a 90min reservation makes you feel rushed (despite numerous two tops being open when leaving 75mins later). The classic rock (ex: Sting/Police) music is too loud for conversation, mixed with the sports on the TV, it clashes with the rest of the feel. Overall, not a fan of the atmosphere/ vibe. We’ll go elsewhere.
