My mom would take me to this hole in the wall when I was a kid, in ’99.. Until this day, Mario’s is really good. Good, reasonably priced food. Very consistent, good recipes. Indoor & outdoor dining. Even MPD like to come & have their lunch at this classic taco shop.. Best taco shop in town..

The best breakfast burrito you’re going to find in town is right here at Mario’s bacon egg and cheese extra bacon well done and potatoes don’t forget the Papas. With a large horchata. It’ll be the best morning you ever had.

I give this a three-star on everything because it’s not bad but I wanted an asada burrito supreme and it was meat and a little dab of sour cream . I’ve eaten some other good food here but their Supreme burritos are far from Supreme. I wish I had taken pictures. A supreme should have lettuce tomato onions sour cream and definitely salsa. And I’m not sure what’s with the salsa that all these places serve but salsa is supposed to be thick not watery when you put it on your burrito or food and it runs off and drips all over the place and makes your whole meal wet. I know lots most people don’t complain about that. My girlfriend loves it.

I wasnt impressed… My daughter liked the torta. My other daughter didnt finish her asada fried. It had chunks of raw jalapeno. I guess some like that. It was just hard to eat. The wet burrito was flavorless. Or maybe it was so spicy that i couldn’t taste anything else. It looks better than it tasted.

Best carne asada quesadilla I can ever remember. Perfect balance of meat and cheese with some freshly chopped today tomatoes (it makes a huge difference) and a bit of guacamole. My husband had 2 beef tacos and said they were outstanding. We can’t wait to eat here again!!!

I loved Mario’s taco shop I had the Carne Asada burrito and it was amazing. The hot sauce was very good and the lady that took my order and gave me my food was very polite , welcoming, and beautiful. Whenever I’m in Merced I’m definitely going to stop by.

Food is consistent. Beef soup was delicious!! Shrimp plate was mildly spicy and satisfying!! The interior of the store was dark. It’s hard to tell if the shop was open.
