1st time visiting this place today because I wanted some soul food. Well when I first walked in there I should’ve walked right back out. A soul food place with no other customers insight. A couple people eventually came in to pick up food. The smell of the restaurant could’ve been better. I couldn’t eat the food I ordered. Got sick to my stomach. The Yams tasted like they came straight out of a can and that’s not soul food. That’s Can Food. The Mac and cheese was ok but not a soul food tasting to my liking. The Whiting Fish was thin and kinda dry. 1st and last time for me. Sorry the uncovered food was a turn off too. I didn’t walk back out because I didn’t want to appear rude and wanted to support the business. Maybe if they got real fresh Yams, better homemade sides the place will get busier. Soul Food is supposed to be good! Especially when the meal cost over $16!

I ordered delivery from Martin’s. I ordered the rib dinner. The ribs were good. The Mac n cheese and strings beans were in NO way your soul food type of sides. The Mac n cheese was horrible. They don’t put salt in the noodles which made a bland Mac n cheese. The string beans tasted like right out of the can, which is a definite no no. I was not impressed with sides at all.

The food needs flavor, the Mac and cheese tasted like a custard or something. IT didn’t taste like any cheese was in it at all. The fried okra had too much breading the fish had too much breading like it was double breaded

We were greeted with a smile. I ordered the seafood platter. The shrimp would have tasted better if the breading wasn’t so thick. The collared greens and cabbage were tasty. My friend was disappointed with the meatloaf. The gravy was watery and meatloaf tasted like it came from a frozen dinner. The Mac and cheese was delicious.

Almost went to Famous Dave’s but wanted to try something that we don’t have in Nebraska. Martin’s was closeby and I’m sooo glad we switched up..the food was fresh and delicious. Food portions were perfect, couldn’t finish all my food. Dinner came with 2 sides and cornbread. Priced well. People complaining about price are just cheap… Well worth the price.

Well, I ordered 4 pc shrimp & and 2 fish, and when I got home, it was 2pc chicken wings and 2 pc fish… the corn bread peach cobbler was not good at all thumbs down on that.
