From the family that brought “Sultan’s Market” established in 1995, in Chicago, has now finally after 10 years building and preparing for their newest venture “MASADA” named after the family matriarch “Masada Ramli”.
The concept began when the “Ramli’s” took a tour of the Middle East visiting Jordan, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Territories. After getting back to the states there was a yearning for that same magical, mystical, warm silky aired nights filled with pungent smells of spices wafting through those bustling souks and cafes that they decided to recreate the same atmosphere here in Logan square Chicago.
Middle Eastern fare in a flashy space with intricate Moroccan details, a tri-level patio & a lounge. Based on 612 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.9 stars. Price $$

This is a cute little place. I’m from the southside of Chicago so I enjoyed a change of scenery. The upstairs wasn’t open when I was there. However the downstairs was a vibe, Not many seats down stairs but if your dancing like I was you should be fine. The only thing was the A/C was on full blast we actually left sooner than we wanted to because of the A/C and I had on a hoodie . Other than that I enjoyed myself.

Love the ambiance!!! Services was great also! HOWEVER, I went there with a group of 5 other people 2 of which are under the age of 7 and they were playing rap music with curse words left and right. “F!@k, Bi?(h”…. not appropriate for a 6 o’clock family dinner. After expressing my concern they did change the music. As far as the food goes I really enjoyed the appetizers more than the actual combination dinner platter. The chunks of chicken were tender and delicious however the Kofta was very dry. I may return for a night out and enjoy some appetizers before a night of dancing but will not likely return for dinner.

Good Mediteranian Restaurant, friendly staff and beautiful decor. The food tastes home made but I think they are taking it easy on the spicing as the flavor is not geared for Mediteranians. I am surprised the place was empty at dinner time. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for tasty but mild flavored Arabic Food. I will ask for more spice on my next visit.

I went here for a private party and was impressed by the service. I did not have any of the food, so I can’t comment on that. But the space downstairs was perfect for a small/medium gathering.

Love love love this place. Food is authentic and super delicious. Outdoor patio and rooftop has an amazing view, and a great spot to enjoy food, a beautiful cocktail off their cocktail menu, or even enjoy a hookah. Great area for hosting any events large or small, especially on the outdoor rooftop or lounge. Entertainment every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night! Including either a live band/singer, a dj, and belly dancers! Service is great and would highly recommend making a reservation so you can get the greatest possible experience! Such an amazing family owned restaurant right in the heart of Logan Square!

The place can get a little cold, but otherwise it’s a great stop for a tasty meal. I love meat but they also serve stews, vegetarian appetizers and salads that are more than enough for a meat-free dinner. The Fatoush salad is a favorite, along with any baked lamb dish. I love the colorful interior, the diverse music they play and all the Middle-Eastern accents inside and out. Try the rooftop for a different experience: you almost feel like you should be surrounded by minarets and gaze over the desert. But that’s misleading because the rooftop is full of flowers and hanging plants while a vine stretches all across the interior courtyard, shading guests from the summer sun. Look for hidden nooks to discover even more comfort as you go up and down the stairs. They have a dance floor on the lower level and the place gets full. So get there early.

The place was good. The food delicious and very large portions. I had the combination kabob platter which serves 2. We still had leftover for a third person. The server was very nice and patient considering he was the only wait staff for a full restaurant. It seemed that the management is not up to par.
