We are from out of town and were told we would find the best hot dogs in town! They were not good, and the chili was terrible. Other items we saw look delicious. We will give the restaurant another try when we are in town but will skip the hot dogs.

Lunch experience was overall great. Promptly seated, fast and friendly service. Waitress frequently made sure everything was up to par. Straight forward menu and ordering process. Food didn’t take long to come out and was overall excellent. Highly recommended.

Melito’s has been an extremely well respected, favorite restaurant in the west end of Richmond for approx. 40+ years. Fresh ingredients, varied menu and the desserts are delish! Staff is friendly and professional. There are patio tables to dine at outside too.

My son and I stopped in for a quick dinner. I enjoyed the Reuben recommended by our server. My son had a plain hot dog, which he said was good, but I think I remember feeling the price was a little steep for a hot dog. Not a big deal, though, I’m supportive in general. Our server was super nice and the atmosphere was lively. It’s a tightly packed setup though so if you don’t like that, just be aware.

This is a good old Staple in Richmond. Stop here for lunch every so often, lunchtime can get a little busy. They have great daily specials. The food is usually very well prepared and you get pretty good portions. The world famous hot dog, I don’t know if it’s actually world famous, being kind of a hot dog snob I do like it, it’s a great little lunch item. They always have good french fries and salads. They have a little bar you can take a seat at a couple of TVs to watch some local sports or programming. A little area out front just outside. If you’re in the area I don’t think you can go wrong stopping here for lunch or dinner.
