Valentine’s Day we decided to pickup a simple Mexican dinner. To our surprise we found an extraordinary take out at Mexigo . Quality and service was great. Great quality and fast service!

Excellent food but the tip is greedy. Minimum is 18% and it gets up to 25%.

There was a bug in the food. The rice was hard like from a few days ago. The tacos not good. It used to be a great food.

Before you read this, I have experience in Mexican cuisine, grew up outside of Miami eating authentic Mexican food in different regions. I was the last meal they sent out last night. It was my first time trying this spot so usually try a couple things off the menu to get an idea of everything. I ordered tacos de lengua, pastor and fish as well a steak burrito. Dessert churros and flan (I didn’t eat all of the food mainly just tasting.) Customer service was really good. They make sure everything is placed correctly and not spilling. Presentation was good as well. The reason I gave a 2 star is mainly because of the food. Tacos al pastor had good flavor but the meat was tough. Meat in tacos should be tender not tough same as tacos de lengua which was not only tough but chewy as well. Tacos de lengua should be really tender and literally melt like butter once you bite into it. The fish tacos I couldn’t finish at all. The flavor was not there at all and I felt the meat was a little over cooked as well. The burrito wasn’t bad at all when it came to flavor. I would say decent flavor. The churros came with a scoop of ice cream caramel and chocolate syrup but after biting into it the texture was more like cardboard. The custard I did enjoy. The flan was too thick. Felt like cutting into fresh cheese. What really upset me the most about this meal and I found everything just over the top ridiculous is the price they have on their meals. $16 burrito that is ok. It’s not even gourmet. $10 for 2 tacos? $12 if it’s seafood??? These prices are offensive! Another reason for the 2 star rating. Coming from Mexican cuisine and knowing how Mexican food should taste and look with those prices you’d expect atleast gourmet style of cooking but nope! Not worth the price at all! Makes you think the owners are just trying to money gouge or trying to bleed their customers cause it doesn’t taste at all expensive. A good taco should range between $2-$4 depending on the meat, and that’s per taco! Anyways I’m not trying to bash but highlight my experience on the food and service here. That burrito should be $7 and the tacos should he $2 each.

Restaurant is supposed to close at 10. On the website it says the Kitchen closes at 945pm, but when you call at 920pm they tell you it’s too late already. Who runs a business like that? Food is good, but hyper expensive. Maybe that’s why they can afford to close earlier and earlier every day? Don’t spend your hard earned money here. These people don’t care about their loyal customers. Byeee foreveeer

I have visited this carry out location several times and as much as I would like to say it’s not what it use to be at the start. The chicken quesadillas were superb the first couple of times!! However the last two times I ordered the chicken was MIA and the cheese was a small-scaled amount. On the last order they forgot to add the sour cream and the tomato sauce was only a quarter way filled. Not acceptable. The black beans were so good!! Not anymore it taste like Elboro black beans out of the can. The Mexican rice has never been what is suppose to be I should know I’m Mexican. Well good luck to anyone ordering from here I will be shopping for another Mexican carry out place.

My family and I have been going to El Rancho Grande since it opened and have become so disappointed by the changes we’ve seen to the point that we went from going all the time to possibly never again. The wait is absolutely horrific (with no waiting area), likely because of the slow/poor service. We saw our server 3 times the entire night at most. This place also has gotten sooo much greedier with increasingly higher prices and smaller plates. My father and partner did not get any sides with their burrito & chimichanga this time, which is a new thing because they always came with beans, rice, and/or guac. The food is good but unfortunately everything else has ruined this restaurant for us. Such a shame because it used to be our favorite restaurant. I really just wish management would fix things.

“Tacos al pastor” are the best. Great variety of different Mexican Style dishes. Their “Guacamole” is really yummy. Service is fast and what I liked the most is that they prepared everything on the moment you order.

I was just asked to leave this restaurant because I brought my son’s (6yrs) food with me. Apparently they have a policy that does not allow for outside food, although it isn’t posted anywhere and I’ve never had an issue before. I explained that my son has food allergies and there wasn’t anything he could safely eat there, I even offered to pay for a kids menu item to go. The manager gave me no option but to leave. My son and I left embarrassed.
