5’s all across the board. Walked in and wanted to sit for the experience, then a few mishaps happened on our end and the hosts were extremely accommodating, even amongst the rush! Then we miscommunicated where we wanted to sit, the hosts were still beyond patient and accommodating – the grace they had was unbelievable, I wish I caught their names. We then moved to the bar, where we met bartenders, David and Damien, and we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by their service and how well they mixed a drink. We ordered cucumber martinis with mint muddled, and they were the best we’ve ever had. Hands down. They made our experience so personable and pure. We ordered about 8 dishes to share, and it was 100% the best Japanese we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was so delicious, even though we were full after our first 3 dishes, we kept ordering because it was THAT good! David and Damien were spot on with the recommendations. I will be back probably once per week. We are in love with this place and it’s now my standard. From the beginning of the experience to the end, we were taken away.

I went here for my wedding anniversary. Great location with amazing food! We sat outdoor and got to see the fireworks at navy pier! We went early enough to enjoy the daylight and great views! Highly recommend the shrimp fried rice and the coconut mango dessert! Drinks were also great! 10/10

We stopped by Miru to have a cocktail and enjoy the rooftop views. The drinks were amazing and we got to watch the champagne sabrage (the ceremonial opening of a bottle with a sword) at sunset. We were enjoying everything so much we decided to grab dinner. The food was incredible and the service was better. Our waiter Jarred offered great suggestions and made the experience memorable. We will definitely make this a “must go to” stop on our next trip to Chicago!

With Miru you are undoubtedly paying for the location and views. Having said that, I enjoyed the excellent service and how quickly our plates came to our table. Their style is smaller plates to share, so we ordered 4 plates for two of us. My personal favorite was the crispy pork fried rice, but would also recommend any of the skewers. The maki rolls were good as well, but nothing special vs other good sushi places in Chicago. The views are gorgeous and definitely worth the experience. When we arrived at the hotel lobby, there weren’t any signs for Miru, so know that they are located on the 11th floor.

Great 1st experience with the bartender, he was engaging and made a delicious drink. Server was pleasant but not around when we needed her. We would have ordered more drinks and more courses if she was around. She seemed to have a section too large to handle. Everything we ordered was delicious and the view was incredible.

I’m on the fence on how to best rate our experience at Miru. Let me start by saying the food was phenomenal. Every single thing we ordered (we were a group of four sharing lots of different dishes across the menu) tasted amazing.

I honestly didn’t go here with the highest expectations but I was definitely surprised. We were a group of 5 and we left pretty happy with all of our food options. Amongst some of our favorites we had was the gem salad, the marinated tofu, hamchi & lemon, spicy blue fin tuna, spicy tuna, and the creme brulee to name a few. Our server was the sweetest and the most attentive. Now the only reason I’m not giving five stars is because the drinks were an absolute disappointment. We first started with lychee strawberry martinis and not only did it take 20 minutes before we got it, it tasted like a pink lemonade that you get from McDonald’s. It was a sugar bomb and tasted artificial and for 20 each we definitely expected better. We then ordered a plain lychee martini and asked prior if it included a lychee in the drink (and the server confirmed) it didn’t and it didn’t even taste like lychee, it was more like a lemon drop. Unfortunately the drinks did not get better, we also got an old fashioned (tasted like root beer), Lina, Spill the Tea (tasted like a raspberry whiteclaw) I’ll recommend skipping cocktails here and stick to wine or other spirits alone. Other than that it’s fabulous food, views, and the staff were great.

Nice japanese restaurant and bar inside the St. Regis hotel. Great service from the dining room staff. We wanted to get the Salmon & Truffle plate but unfortunately wasn’t available. Triple Tuna roll, a signature maki, was our favorite. Food was great but I thought it would’ve taken a more traditional approach to Japanese cuisine. Awesome view of the Chicago river mouth from the terrace. That deserved 5 stars.

Being a big fan of Lettuce Entertainer You restaurants, I was excited when I heard that Miru had just opened while I was visiting Chicago! I was able to get an afternoon reservation and we went for a light lunch and drinks.
