My fiance and I went here to celebrate his birthday and everything was great. Our waitress was so sweet and helped me get candles for his birthday cake surprise. The food was great – pictured is the mussels, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, lemon cake and gelato.

Perfectly servicable food. Pretty on the plate, fairly quick to table. Very loud due to the size of the restaurant. Very accomodating and friendly staff. Will go again eventually. Prices a little steep. A good date/dinner spot overall! Also gave us a very cute dessert for our anniversary.

A recent Friday dinner: Good food and service (risotto frutti di mare and penne arrabbiata) but being subjected to a barrage of Hispanic music in an Italian restaurant is incongruous and annoying. Just because the owners love it doesn’t mean everyone has to.

I wanted to love this place, one of the few places nearby that has cioppino on the menu. Food was good but service was extremely slow and I imagine that’s due to the size of the place, very small. Due to a reservation error we had to sit outside and while they had a heater is was definitely not doing the job.

Honestly I hate to be this person. I have been in a service industry for 10 plus years. The food was PHENOMENAL but the service was absolutely the worst I have ever had. We had 3 different staff come to our table & nobody introduced themselves, we had no idea who our server was. After ordering our food, with barely anyone in the restaurant, we waited almost an hour for the food. During that wait, nobody checked up on us even though one of the young staff that had come to our table earlier, was standing around laughing, looking at our table but deliberately ignoring us. We waited 20 plus minutes to get more water (I had to get up & ask someone for water). We also had to ask for the check 3 times. Food 10/10, Service 0/10. Service can literally run a restaurant into the ground so please consider restaffing.

This place is a hole-in-the-wall, no doubt – but so yummy! My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic date night and we both left so full and wanting to come back! Molto Bene has a delicious menu and I couldn’t wait to try more of their offerings. We got ourselves a bottle of wine and had a wonderful server. Would definitely recommend this place for date night. It’s a VERY small place so would not suggest group dining.

Sweet little spot tucked away on Detroit Avenue in Lakewood. Atmosphere is lovely, service was AMAZING, food was incredible, and the prices were super reasonable. I had a shrimp pasta dish which had plenty of shrimp and the pasta was so fresh. My husband had the calamari pasta which was also delicious. We had the cheese and meat board for an appetizer. That was awesome too! We brought home some espresso gelato and loved it as well. All around wonderful experience!
