I had a bad experience at the restaurant. A person came to take the order from me and i had ordered two things and he confirmed from me the same. But after 30 mins the server comes up to me and tells we don’t see any other order for you, it was just the miso soup. I had to re order the second dish again, and the server did not even consider asking me about the other order. They gave me the bill after first food item only and I had to order the second time again and wait for another 10 mins for the food to come. The food was tasty but the service was poor.

Nice restaurant. The service was good. We enjoyed the Thai food. It was a bit interesting that a Thai restaurant served sushi as well. For what it’s worth, they do have a proper sushi set up. If you’re in the area, maybe give them a try out.

I thought Mom’s Siam was my favorite restaurant on Cary Street. I was wrong; it’s Mom’s Siam 2! Same great food, same great service , but now in a great location in Shockoe Bottom!

The servers are more like extended family to us. This is our go-to spot, and we live in Midlothian! Our grandmother, who is a true southern belle, tried the sushi and loved it. The servers are congenial, observant and amazing. The chef will modify the meal to your preference. The vibes are peaceful and full of light. We highly recommend Mom’s Siam 2!❤️

So I like to post my reviews during a lot really soon after my visit. That way everything is fresh in my mind. I first ordered a mojito. The drink came with a sprig of mint..not muddled but a sprig sitting in the glass. Then I ordered the ginger dish entree..with shrimp and extra sauce. Well needless to say I’m wearing the extra sauce home. The waitress said she wasn’t used to extra sauce…it was HOT on my leg. She wrote my drink at happy hour price ($2 discount) for my ‘saucy’ inconvenience and ‘soy based’ clothes! Well, I’ll go home and nurse my leg a bit. But if it continues to be irritated, it’s to the dr I’ll go!

The restaurant is very good. Had been there few times and tried their curries and entrees. The Bangkok chicken, Massaman curry, Yellow curry are very good.

This place is definetly a hole in the wall find. The food was super tasteful and really healthy portions. Sushi was nice and fresh and the food had a great kick to it. They accidently messed up my order so they gave us that plate of extra food which we ended up giving it away to someone in need.

Excellent Thai food in downtown Richmond! I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in town. The place is fairly small. So if you’re going for lunch, try to arrive before the normal lunch rush but they do move people through pretty quickly. Great service and awesome Thai!!

We’ve eaten here many times and it’s usually a good experience, but not today. My husband ordered gluten free drunken noodles for lunch and has been extremely sick (throwing up) ever since. Allergies like this are serious, not a dietary choice. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. I am only posting this because I hope the feedback will encourage the restaurant to be more mindful/careful when people express they have a dietary restriction.
