I’ve never been to another Nick the Greek, but this one is fantastic. The franchise owner is incredibly helpful and very kind, and the food is great. I recommend the beef/lamb gyro pita and Nick’s Fries (with chicken gyro for me). The place itself is relatively small with fairly sterile decor, but they do have helpful pronunciations on the wall that I found fun (gyro = yeer-oh, not hero ). It’s really a perfect spot for something quick and delicious (their food is great through Doordash and Uber Eats as well).

Visited the Bay Area over the weekend (I’m from TX), my family & I decided to take a quick trip to this beautiful quaint city of Monterey. Stopped by Nick the Greek for lunch…& I had the best falafel pita ever! It was beautifully crisp on the outside & soft & full of flavor on the inside! For dessert, I had the Baklava with yogurt, first time trying out baklava in this style…it was heavenly!!! I definitely will come back!! Or better yet, open a location in DFW!!

So it was my first time trying this place and walked in on a whim. I ordered the pork belly bowl and the flavor was amazing. Also tried their lemon chicken soup and it was flavorful and would definitely order again. Hummus and pita was fresh and the baklava topped Greek yogurt is my new favorite dessert. The cashier was very welcoming and friendly and patient! Will be returning!!!

Very nice chicken gyros, pretty consistent with the other Bay Area chains, fresh and clean outlet, good service, didn’t wait too long for the food to arrive (I was the only one in the restaurant), parking can be a bit dicey along with most of the other places downtown.

My son and I stopped there before work and got Nicks fries! These are the BEST fries I have ever had!! If you love garlic fries, these are the ones to get!! Not only was it great hot, we ate them cold and reheated and were still AMAZING!! The cost is inexpensive and worth every penny!!! The service was amazing and the owners are fantastic!! We will be back!!

Love this spot. The gyro bowls are delicious and really good amount of food for the price, I personally recommend getting it with the chicken. Also, the greek frozen yogurt is awesome, be sure to order it with the honey and baklava.

Nice online order system if you want to swing by and pick it up. Food was above average and priced well. The fries were soft like other people have mentioned but still good if you like them that way. The hummus was good but the pita was a bit hard. Good option overall for a local chain.

Glad Nick the Greek has come to Monterey, I was introduced to the brand in Ventura a few years ago and liked it then. Perfect for a quick and delish bite, you can get appetizers, full meals or just dessert even. I love the froyo when they have it ready etc. Adding the baklava and honey always makes it even better! My mom really was happy with a chicken pita since it was chunky chicken pieces and I like pretty much anything on the menu, sometimes the pork belly may seem a little salty that’s pretty much my only qualm.
