All of the dish were very good. If you are an adventurous eater, I would recommend the liver. I was surprised of it’s taste, I can see some would not like it bc of the smell but I think I would come back here just for that liver. If you want a full meal with appetizers and main entree, price does get very expensive really quickly. If the service was improved the price would definitely be justified. Food was great nonetheless so I would recommend anyone who are looking for an authentic greek food that aren’t heavily Americanized. The menu items are titled in Greek (I assume) though. I’m not too familiar with greek food so I had to look up items on my phone to see what they are. It would be really helpful if the restaurant provided more detailed descriptions of the menu items or even some pictures perhaps! Overall a good experience.

Felt like I was back in Greece! Intimate greek restaurant with all the home made greek food from souvlaki platters, fresh fish and traditional oven dishes. House wine is a must. Owner Chris and entire staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend for your dinner night out with your friends or family.

Okay, SO. I heard about this place from Instagram, and booked Valentines day, (luckily they had a time open for us- my initial phone in was met with such kind hospitality considering I was planning to bring a small child!) My husband and I ordered quite the lineup and we’re so impressed the greeting, accommodations, and food alone, we weren’t shocked to find the owners are such amazing people, it’s such a small world! ❤️ we can surely recommend 100% of what we ate so we are already planning our next dining experience. BEWARE The kolokithokeftedes (zucchini fritters) are quite possibly the most irresistible I’ve ever had, that’s coming from a native Greek There is parking in the rear, so don’t fret! καλή όρεξη! We can’t get enough.

Bravo Nisiotis. I came to eat the other night and was not disappointed, they hit the mark on everything. The fish was phenomenal, the meat was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The galaktodoureko was homemade, reminds me of my moms back in Greece. Our server was constantly checking to see if everything was ok, and if needed anything. We sat outside which was a plus we, got to enjoy this beautiful weather. Overall everything was well worth the trip. We will definitely be coming back soon.

I absolutely love this authentic Greek restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the portions were big. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Greek food. You won’t be disappointed!

We recently had my dad’s 90th birthday celebration at Nisiotis Taverna. The place is a gem. Dimitri and Veronica went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Beautiful floral centerpieces on the tables and a special menu made especially for the party. The food was amazing and was presented beautifully. Everything was fresh and delicious. This is, by far, one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve been to. My only regret is that I can’t go eat there more often since I live in Florida! I’ll definitely go back there when I’m in NJ visiting. Thank you to Dimitri, Veronica and staff for making my dad’s 90th birthday so memorable and delicious!

My experience at Nisiotis Taverna was nothing short of amazing. From the moment you enter the owners welcome you like their own. We ordered spreads, calamari, and a Greek salad to start. All the flavors were authentic with fresh ingredients used. I had the lamb chops for dinner which were tender and prepared perfectly. I also love that it’s BYOB with a liquor store conveniently across the street. I look forward to my next visit!!
