It was a last-minute stop at Nonna Osteria before leaving town, and I’m glad we did! ! ! The food was phenomenal and started with some drinks. It was essentially a refreshing Cucumber Martini. Thelma had a raspberry garnished drink that wasn’t diabetically sweet. Then, the plates started to roll in. I’ll let the pics speak for themselves. I had the Tartufo with a lobster tail. That was a winning combination!! The truffle tied the pasta and lobster in a perfect flavorful marriage! My glass of Chardonnay was an outstanding choice to elevate our cheesy, seafoodish plates!! Apparently, i had a Ratatouille moment when i had the velvety Gnocchi. My heart was content. We concluded dinner with a round of carajillos. During our time there, we were greeted by the manager at the time (regretfully, i didn’t catch her name). She explained that this was the 2nd location (1st being downtown) and a brief history of chef Luca (hopefully I’ll have the pleasure of meeting him) Atmosphere was very inviting, to say the least. Dinner was the ideal Italian experience of Family, Food, and Wine!!! Memories were made, and I can’t wait to make more next time!!!

First time here. Gaby our hostess, was very accommodating and helpful. You can say, “She is the hostess it’s the mostest”. Miles, our server, took care of us like family. The pizzas are fabulous, we ordered the Verde Insalata and the Gameri. We also had the Chingale with pasta was to die for. Highly recommend Nonna’s to hang with family and friend.

Chef Luca and his incredible team never miss! My wife and I have been on several date nights to this Nonna’s location and the service and food are impeccable every single time! Make sure to reserve a table ahead of time, as you never know when this smaller venue may fill up.

High expectations, that were not met. Genuinely disappointed with our entrees. Tartufo dish, their “speciality” dish is overly priced and for it coming out in a cheese wheel, it has little to any cheese. I’m not sure if it’s because they reuse the cheese wheel and by the time we had a round there was hardly any. Regardless, what we received and for the cost, it was not worth it. My partners lobster ravioli had small pieces of shell in inside. It wasn’t pleasant. The only reason my rating is a 3/5 is because of their charcuterie board. The only savory dish that was up to our standards. If you want substandard food for a high cost, this is your place!!

What a gem! Hands down, the best Italian in SA. We started with the Oven-Baked Burrata, San Marzano Sauce, Basil Cream to start. AMAZING! Entrees were the Bolognese – Tagliatelle, Beef & Pork, Parmesan Cheese. Perfectly al dente pasta with the best gravy.

You know the service is impeccable when you’re apart of a party of 15 and you don’t even feel a lag in the wait time for ordering, drinks, or delivery of food. Our waiters were so kind and friendly. When I asked for red wine suggestions they brought me a sample of a really good pinot noir which I gladly agreed to. Other drinks ordered that night were a raspberry cocktail which if you’re like my husband and are more like a humming bird it’s a perfectly sweet drink. A shot of limoncello was also ordered and wow was it good!

Great ambiance, food, and service—our new favorite for high-end, authentic Italian! I cannot speak highly enough for Kevin, our server and wine sommelier. His knowledge of the foods and wines are superb, and informed by his firsthand experience living in Italy. We cannot wait to visit, again, with high hopes of getting Kevin as our server.

Jordan was an outstanding server, went over the whole menu item by item and suggested some amazing things! Recommend asking for him to explain the menu and restaurant if it is your first time. It is family style. For appetizers we had Arancini and Tagliere Della Casa both were amazing! We also had the Patate Fritte which was so good and fresh. Now the Cinghiale was the star of the show the Gnocchi was perfect! The tartufo which is served table side was also really good. The tiramisu was also very good, the lemon tart was okay not our favorite. The service was wonderful, Jordan was the main server and also had a team server that was really good and helpful as well, atmosphere was nice and mellow. Over all great experience.

Service was great. Attentive and the SOM was incredible in his recommendations. But the food was terrible and so over priced. The meatballs were average, pasta was over cooked, sauce was not tasty at all, and the Rissoto was bland.

We visited last week and sat at the bar and our bartender Jasmine was the BEST!! We had wonderful conversation and she was very attentive to us. Everything she recommended we loved. Tartare and charcuterie are phenomenal. Pizza was great. Ambiance is great. We loved it so much we went back two days later and had the same amazing experience. We were lucky enough to see Jasmine again, so we ate at the bar!! Highly recommend, sit at the bar and ask for Jasmine, great people person and you can tell she loves what she does!!!
