Wonderful place to grab a dinner and dessert before seeing the Lyric Opera. We really appreciate that the staff were friendly and accommodating. They have a wonderful happy hour menu with something for everybody. We had the filet mignons sliders, happy hour Taco special, gouda cheese puffs and bruschetta. Everything was excellent. Erica the executive chef in general manager came up to our table and really accommodated our needs. Wonderful and we will be back!

I had a party of 10 attend a pre-opera dinner, they wouldn’t accommodate us when we said we needed to switch to a lower sitting table for one of the older ladies with us with hip issues. The food was ok, not amazing, the steak was burnt and overcooked. The prices were decent for the Chicago area. It is a good location right across the street from the lyric opera so we didn’t need to do much walking to the theater. The waiter could’ve been more professional.

Nice modern restaurant, but terrible food. Disappointed in a restaurant with food so bland and flavorless in the heart of downtown Chicago. Had a Caesar salad (I know, not the best dish to get, but they still got it all wrong) and the lettuce was not fresh at all, it didn’t fill crunchy. The chicken tasted completely microwaved and processed. I was surprised when I saw the restaurant swears by their Non GMO meats, but that chicken definitely tasted like the frozen Tyson chicken you get from the grocery store. Their “homemade” Caesar dressing tasted bland; a store-bought dressing from Walmart has more flavor than that. Terribly disappointed in this place and surprised people eat this kind of food in Chicago.

I came here for a business lunch and ordered the Salmon Niçoise and received a quite large salad (which was very good) but only 1/3 of a salmon fillet that was dry and not that flavorful. I was pretty disappointed to know that the company I work for was compensating a $20 salad that barely had what it was described as. Food aside, however, the atmosphere was very comfortable and the staff was nice and attentive.

Went here prior to Joffrey Ballet and was nice and convenient. The food/drinks were good but the ambience felt a little like a cafeteria. Need to dim lights a little more and have better music.

This was our 3rd time here in this place because they have buratta but our order this time has a lot of carcinogens! The bread that comes with the buratta was burned! The patty was burned and not well cooked in the middle (I requested medium well). The bread that comes with the buratta was burned, so we requested a new slice of bread because we couldn’t enjoy the buratta cheese (appetizer) if all you got to taste was carcinogens! The service was good. Waiters and the bar tender was very nice. The grilled cheese we ordered was delicious (they didn’t burn that one). We sat by the bar and the Atmosphere there was classy and sporty as you got to watch soccer games in tv. Everything would have been perfect yesterday if the food was not burned. We don’t like to pay and all we got to eat was carcinogens or burned food (which is bad for you by the way because it can cause cancer). Please see attached pictures.

This place is rude and deceitful with their pricing/menu/happy hour! First of all the website for One North clearly states there is happy hour from 3-8, M-F. It should also be noted the menu online is NOT the happy hour menu they offered: their only “drinks” were a $10 glass of a bottom shelf red/white/rose or a $10 old fashioned or manhattan. The happy hour food menu was also the same price as the regular menu with a few taco and fries options not on the regular menu. We order 4 tacos, a glass of wine, and a manhattan. When the bill comes we find we have been way overcharged for the tacos and the manhattan (by about $10). Our waiter was pretty rude and inattentive from the get-go but his demeanor did not change when we pointed out the mix-up. About three staff members came over and yelled at us “did you get the happy hour menu” in a very accusatory tone. Uh, clearly we which is how we ordered the happy hour items and also how we know the prices. We also have, you know, the menu. They say something like, “not everyone gets happy hour” and were very stand-offish and confrontational. It is both on the website, and on the menu (yes we were there in the correct timeframe) so….what??? The lead waiter starts to argue with us about pricing and addition so we whip out a calculator to prove our point, referencing the menu prices. The lead aggressively grabs the bill and goes to the register where she takes about 10 minutes, huddling with another staff member. She brings back a corrected bill which….is still wrong. We are still over charged. From the get-go the staff was rude, inattentive, and egotistical. We don’t go to dinner expecting to be confronted, argued with, and over-charged from the stated prices. Absolutely shameful behavior and it was never answered…why offer happy hour if you will not actually let customers use it? The whole experience was very shady and deceitful.
