Papa Chris’ has been at this location over for 35 years and we know why! The food is sensational. I got the gyro plate and my aunt got the gyro sandwich. The portions were generous and tasty. I had enough food to bring back home for another meal. The decor inside makes us feel like an old school Chicago place. Right off of Touhy Avenue, this is an easy location to go to. We will definitely be back soon. The staff and owners are great!

Great family restaurant! Food is fast, fresh, and yummy! Good portions for the price. Friendly staff and clean establishment. Came by last week and had the special ( chicken parm) it was outstanding! Have never had a sub par meal here. We make a point to stop here on our way to Costco. My husband loves their gyros, my mother in law the patty melt. If your in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed.

Pam and Nick are the best! I have been going there for at least 9 years now, although it doesn’t feel like it’s been so long. My grandmother introduced Me to Papa Chris’ place, at least in 2014, a couple years before her passing, if not a bit before 2014.

First time stop for me. Food was great, and portions and pricing were both above average. Staff was great. We will stop back in if we are in the neighborhood. Their combo was huge and tasted just like it should. Watched them wait on a group of neighborhood kids, and the kindness was heartwarming.

This is an awesome place I hope exists in the neighborhood forever. The food is a smattering of standard American fare with other bits (like gyros) added in. It’s tasty and priced well, nothing at all to disappoint; but really, I think the staff make this place special. Friendly and familiar interactions with customers and coworkers alike. We’ve carried out and dined in, and they seem to know each other and just about every customer they serve, greet and treat everyone cheerfully and personally, which is a nice departure from chain restaurants or more formal places. I’m sure it depends on what kind of atmosphere you like but if that sounds appealing to you this place should definitely be high on your list.
