Paternos is an amazing old school bar. You would not necessarily think their food would be so good based on the setup, but it is awesome. Some of the best pizza in the city, and their pasta, soups and sandwiches are all phenomenal and reasonably priced. First time visitor, had the pizza by the slice, gooey cheese had good flavors, perfect amount of sauce which stayed hot down to the last bite, crust was nice and crunchy. For a quick bite with bar atmosphere, can get a bit loud, it’s spot on for indulging in good ol Chicago style pizza.

Honestly one of the worst pizzas i can remember. asked for it extra well done, got something that was barely cooked. pizza wasn’t cut. I had to cut it myself when it arrived. No flavor. Just really bad pizza. I would have called to complain but there isn’t a point. i would never eat here again. Lesson learned
