We came for the pizza which was as expected delicious. Think crust tavern style is really good. But the seafood pasta was so delicious as well and the portion was huge! An adult and 2 kids shared it and couldn’t finish it.

I really enjoyed this place. Kind of ironic to be eating the thinnest of the thin crust pies in Chicago, the land of deep dish. The pizza here is Chicago bar/tavern style. Typically it’s main feature is a cured dough that’s unbelievably thin. It’s like eating toppings on top of a water cracker. I find it enjoyable but it’s not for everyone. This place is a must visit if you’re into that!

Off the bat – The service was 6 stars. Attentive. Friendly. Authentic. The food – even better. The calamari chunks were huge and fried to perfection. The star was the pizza of course. The sign above the door – best thin crust pizza in Chicago – tells no lies.

The problem with making the crust super thin is that it browns/blacks easier in the oven, is dry, and becomes more crumbly than crunchy. Pat’s does a decent job at their thin crust but still encounters the blackening (i.e. burnt pizza bottom) problem. The tomato sauce and cheese they used paired well together, however could not distract you from the crust. The pizza is better than any fast food place, but not nearly the best in Chicago. The garlic bread was incredible — soft bread with a more crusty bottom with the right balance of butter and garlic dipped into perfect tomatey marinara sauce.

Pats pizza was pushing P before your favorite rapper. You haven’t tasted a proper cracker crust until you visit this fine Lincoln Park establishment. This place is great to take all the people in your life that try to shame you for eating deep dish. The crust is so razor thin I overheard some rich college kids draped in all designer saying they could chop snow with it. A ringing endorsement if I’ve ever heard one!

I was very disappointed with my visit here. There’s a Chicago tavern style pizza place in Dallas that is one of my absolute favorites and so I had high expectations for Pats. The crust wasn’t as crispy and crunchy as I hoped. Also we added peppers but it was so overpowering. It was basically a pepper pizza, not proportionately measured out in my estimation.

Amazing pizza! So much flavor. The service was great too. I was only one of two patrons and got great service. I would go there often if I lived nearby! Must try.

Pat’s Pizza has a wonderful reputation and we went there our first time on Monday with our friends who go there often. We had their Calamari in a delicious sauce for an appetizer, followed by the larger Pat’s special Sausage, Mushroom, Onion and Green Pepper Pizza with added garlic. Words are not sufficient to describe the food. Everything was complimented by a bottle of California Cab. That you Pat’s for the Great introduction.
