This is hands down the best teriyaki chicken I have ever had! I just finished it and I am scheming about my next visit. I would literally pay the ferry toll just to come to Vashon for this teriyaki. Amazing char, umami BOMB, crispy edges, fresh and crispy lumpia, great Mac salad and ‘normal’ salad. COME HERE AND GET YOURSELF A TERIYAKI DELUXE!

Great place to get a quick meal and an interesting brew! Hoping they can expand their menu, the options are limited. Their teriyaki sauce is a little on the bitter side, the Mac salad is solid. Corkage was a bit steep for wine at $15 and even canned beer has a $2 fee.

Pop Pop is a lovely experience. Perfectly tender and charred chicken, a godly mac salad side, crispy greens with ginger dressing, all topped with chili crisp and the salty/sweet tang of carefully concocted homemade teriyaki (and that’s just the food). A plethora of locally sourced beer and wine awaits next to the bar lined with taps linked to kegs that are discovered and picked up from nearby breweries by the owners themselves. Care and heart goes into each sip and forkful here, and it shows throughout.

I was warned not to bring my service dog if I visited this place. Previously a person was denied service by the owner when they tried to enter with their service dog. I was shown the encounter and it was not a very nice encounter. My dog is trained to direct pressure therapy for my anxiety and confrontations are a no go. The owner was not present but I chose not to enter while my friends purchased ice cream. We all decided never to return.

Great food and great people—the owner is super nice. Food menu is a little limited, but everything is delicious. Great selection of wines and beer by the bottle. We’ll be back for sure next time we’re on Vashon Island.
