The food is awesome, but the service is poor. They forgot to double dip my sandwiches which were very dry. I called and asked what happened and a teen girl worker said they were supposed to be double dipped and then no apology at all just silence for ten seconds because she was confused. I think they should hire better workers with manners.

It’s a rare thing for us to say an Italian beef was made right. Pops beef was really good. Really really good. Even at our favorite beef stand I won’t take peppers and make my own. The sweet peppers were properly made too! This may be my new #1 beef place in Chicago.

How insane is it that a plain Ceasar salad is $7.49 and to add chicken is almost $4 more? This is a neighborhood fast food joint and to charge that much for lettuce and a half cup of chicken breast is robbery on the neighborhood people. Just a shame….

We ordered the 9 inch super italian beef and a malt. The malt was grainy and tasted like fluff the beef was bland no flavor at all. We got two of them, I got the traditional one and my husband order his without the bun which is pictured below. He had more peppers and onions then anything no meat for it to be a super. We wasted 35.00 will not recommed this place for beef, I would rather go to fat Alberts on 69th and Ashland to get a real italian beef.

I DROVE HERE FOR LUNCH FOR MY AUNT. I ORDERED 2 BIG BEEFS AND A CHICKEN PITA. ONE BEEF I ORDERED WITH AMERICAN CHEESE WHICH WAS A 1.50 UPCHARGE. THE MENU PRICE SAYS .25 PER SLICE… A .75 DIFFERENCE, I LET IT GO…AFTER DRIVING ALL THE WAY HOME I REALIZED THE BEEF WITH THE UPCHARGE WASNT DIPPED AT ALL LEAVING MY FAMILY MEMBER WITH DRY FRENCH BREAD AND MEAT ESSENTIALLY. THE PORTION OF MEAT ON THE SANDWICH WAS QUESTIONABLE. I CALLED THE MANAGER TOLD ME TO COME BACK AND HE’LL MAKE IT OVER, I JUST DROVE 14 MILES OUT OF MY CAR ON THIS VISIT…I CAN’T GO BACK…HE REFUSED TO RECTIFY THE MISTAKE FOR A LATER DATE. I TOLD HIM I TOOK A PHOTO AND I’M NOT EXAGGERATING…HE SAID HE MADE THE SANDWICH, I SAID SO YOU KNOW YOU DIDN’T DIP IT. AS HIGH AS FOOD COST ARE, AND GAS PRICES THIS SHOULD NOT BE WHAT I AM MET WITH THE FIRST TIME AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I EVEN TOOK A MENU WITH THE EXCITEMENT THAT I HAD A NEW FOOD JOINT TO PATRONIZE. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD BUSINESS AND BAD BUSINESS IS HOW THINGS ARE HANDLED WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG…BAD BUSINESS…NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT.
