Dinner was very good! Everything we got was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and classy, and the service was friendly. I got the gemelli dish, and it was so good, and the pasta tasted homemade. Highly recommend this dish! It features eggplant but the eggplant isn’t that noticable, so it’s a good dish for anyone. But overall it’s a great place in general, and a lot of the dishes have mushrooms in them.

The staff was very receptive. I believe our bartenders name was Riley and she was great. The food was better than expected. I have to say this is probably hands-down one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. The arancini was to DIE FOR 10/10. I believe it was the owner that was walking around she was very nice, over all very pleasant experience. I will be back!

This was my very first visit. I loved everything. The curb appeal. The restaurant decor. The friendly staff. The food presentation (which was perfectly plated) and the taste of everything! Looking forward to my next visit.

My expectations were very high as I researched restaurants in Kennett Square before I visited the city for the first time. Portabellos was rated #1 in the city and did not disappoint. The Ahi Tuna, and Shrimp appetizers, along with the Crab cakes and gourmet sausage pizza entrées, were delicious and well prepared. We chose to sit outside on a warm Saturday night to enjoy the nice breeze. Our waitress and servers were all pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. All said, it was definitely worth the trip.

Absolutely delicious! And a nice restaurant with open air seating. Great peach mule, too!

Stopped by Portabellos after visiting Longwood Gardens. Would highly recommend stopping here for a nice dinner after walking around all day.

Ordered the specials this evening (8-26-23). One, pork over mashed potatoes and two, the shrimp over ramen and broccoli raab. The mushroom soup was spectacular. The pork was spot on, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The shrimp over ramen was severely under-whelming! The shrimp was over cooked, the broccoli was tough and the broth was tasteless. A college freshman could have cooked ‘Maruchan’ shrimp flavored soup with more flavor than this. I have never not eaten a meal that was cooked for me, but this was just not up to par.

Absolutely first class, start to finish. Came in for happy hour and early dinner while in town. My bartender was courteous, friendly and crafted a fine martini. I had concerns about the menu, as I don’t eat meat. One of the owners struck up a conversation with me and assured me that they could create something tasty and meat-free. The chef came up with a beautiful pasta dish that included a cheesy porcini mushroom sauce. It was perfect. I will always come back here whenever I’m in the area!

Everything we got was great except the crab cakes, which were obviously burned on the bottom. When we brought it up to our waitress she had no reaction besides saying “do you want me to box it up”…? Food was good but we found the service very poor, we struggled to get our waitress’s attention even though the party seated after us was getting everything out before us (we came only a few minutes after they opened).

Very unimpressive. We ordered the stroganoff and it was absolutely bit a stroganoff. It was tasty but stroganoff it most certainly was not. It was braised ribs with some gnocchi in gravy. If I’m being nice, we can call it au jus.
