Puckett’s is a mix of modern and rustic style. It’s comfortable while looking like it was pieced together with whatever the builder could find, resulting in a fun blend of colors and textures. The pork was very tender with a unique flavor, possibly from smoking with apple wood. Try the Texas style, spicy barbecue sauce. The smoky baked beans were smooth and tender with a depth of flavor. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The menu also features other Southern favorites and you can catch live music if you go on the right evening.

This is a definite stop if you’re within 60 miles of Cullman, AL. Right off of I-65, Exit 310. Service from Rainey was great. A wide variety of menu options from breakfast through supper. Appetizer wings are some of the best anywhere. Hot chicken sandwich was excellent. But the best choice by far is the chicken fried steak. It’s an actual sirloin steak. Only detractor was the green beans. They were just ok. Cajun corn cakes were perfect.

Finally got to try Pucketts breakfast. The food was awesome. Biscuits were good. Price was great. Service was spectacular. Our server, miss crystal. Was super friendly and helpful. And I got to see my brother. The manager is wonderful. Say hi while you’re in there.

After my second visit, I can honestly say this place is really good. We ordered the same thing on both visits, “The Whole Farm.” It comes with brisket, half of roasted chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and two sides for about $34. My only complaint is that the sides are for one person, and the platter is to share. The upside is that the meats are very good. The chicken is deceiving. It looks overdone and a bit dry. But nothing could be further from the truth. It’s very juicy and tasty once you break that skin. The pulled pork is solid and has a nice smokey flavor. The brisket is good. Not the best ever, but nothing to complain about. And finally, the ribs. They won’t change your world, but a solid rack of ribs. As far as the sides go. The slaw, baked beans, and so forth are good. But the stars are the mac n cheese and the collared greens. Not being a southerner, I say, take my opinion with a grain of salt. I know some things are taken as seriously as a heart attack when it comes to food. Just trying to give people an idea of what Puckett’s has to offer. Oh, and don’t forget those mine pancakes the offer as the side of bread. So good with that real pad o butter slathered on. I recommend Puckett’s for a place for some BBQ. My friends loved it and would definitely come back. And they are from the South. Take it for what it’s worth.

This is one of my favorite places to eat because not only is it a fun atmosphere but they have delicious food! I’m talking about cowboy caviar and smoked bologna people! The music was really great too!

We have visited the Puckett’s in Franklin twice. We got the half price appetizers before 6 p.m as a meal and they were delicious!

Dani the manager was awesome and very understanding. She and our wonderful waitress Sam checked on us every 5-7 minutes despite the fact they were a full house! Drinks kept full and suggestions offered ( chicken fried chicken and wings hands down the best!)

I stopped in because i saw a sign claiming that Puckett’s is top 10 USA barbecue. I’m sure the people making this claim have never been to Texas, although the food was excellent. The pulled pork was up there, the brisket not even close (not bad, just not anywhere near what brisket can be). At least i could taste a little smoke on it, which is more than i can say for most places. Smoked sausage and baked beans were both above average, beans were as much savory as they were sweet, and I’d call the slaw solid. The sweet potato fries were very good, but the texture left a little to be desired – a little limp. Their barbecue sauce is above average, tomato/sugar base.

We had a great visit on the way through town. We had only been to the Nashville location and while not as cool we felt it lived up. Thank you!

Oh my goodness, the fried catfish is AMAZING!! My group also had the brisket sliders, those were yummy, corn cakes yummy, and the french fries loved. Overall, we were very happy with the kitchen. Now, our waitress, we absolutely adored she never let our drinks get empty and stopped by to inquire if we needed anything without hovering, and she was so friendly and engaging. We went on a Sunday for lunch (11 am CST) but I can’t wait to try the breakfast menu!! I would give 5 stars but there is always room for improvement even if just a little.
