I’m a regular of this place, often coming 1-2x a week. It’s a little pricey depending on what you order. The size of the food often varies, sometimes I will get a large jibarito and other times a much smaller one. Same with the pork chops. The plantains are smaller than I’d like, and sometimes they give me bad salad/old lettuce. Happy to have a PR place on the south side though, you take what you can get.

Small place with good food. 4 out of 5 for the food I ordered. Hibarito dinner with aroz con gandules (not entirely sure how to spell it) the rice was cooked too perfection but the platano macho was overcooked so it was dry. Still had good flavor though.

The rice & empanda were really good. The steak Jibarito could have been season and a little bit more tender it was kinda tough, but overall, I was satisfied I would return

Finally good Puerto Rican food on the south side!!!!! I ordered the lechon dinner with arrow con gandules, habichuelas, a beef empanadas, potato salad and a mango juice. The lechon was juicy and well seasoned, the arrow was flavorful and not mushy, the habichuelas were flavorful and the empanada was absolutely perfect! I didn’t like the potato salad…personal preference. I will definitely be back!!! I’m so happy I found this place today

Is a very small place, they don’t have a big table, so if you have a party of 4 and more is not the place for you, the rice and beans were great, but the Mofongo was not even looking like Mofongo the taste was weird I am not know what ut was. The biste ensebollado was more like biste a la planchet not good it all.

Ordered 2 pinchos de pollo, 2 rellenos de papa and carne frita. All in all, I was expecting Humboldt Park on the South Side. It was missed. The pinchos were decent. The rellenos de papa needs more seasoning. The carne frita is ok. If you have a craving for Puerto Rican food and you don’t want to drive all the way to the north side, this will do. However, if you really want that good seasoning and great taste, take the drive up north. It may be worth it.
