Wonderful local restaurant with amazing food and atmosphere! BYOB, chill music and a patio with a sunset view!! The crab cake with brandy dill cream sauce was the best we have ever had! The lamb gyro was so fresh and the meat was tender! The ravioli was stuffed with cheese and the sauce was delicious! New regulars right here!!

This place is fire! It is so nice having a Mediterranean restaurant here on the north side of the lake. And such a good one! The gyros my husband and I had were perfect. The lamb was wonderfully seasoned, tzatziki sauce was amazing, the pita bread was warm and pillowy. Just writing this review makes me want another. The spanakopita and baklava are great also. We can’t wait for our next visit to try more things. It’s a very diverse menu!

Placed an order to-go for 2 gyros one with lamb and one with chicken and a greek salad. I forgot I need to get falafel too so I called back to add it on and the person working the phone was very helpful with getting that done and was so nice all around. The falafel was very good, the greek salad was delicious but the gyro meat was very dry but still good. I also really appreciated bagging the salad by itself so it did not get hot and putting all of the sauces on the side so things did not get soggy.

Seriously such good food!! I had a craving for Mediterranean and this place didn’t let down. I got the shrimp and rice with hummus for an appetizer. So much food was given, I had to take it home. If you’re in the area, come by!!

Very impressed. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. It took the place of the old coffee and game room so it looks closed due to the tinted windows. Seating is minimal, but they do take out. We ordered the Dolmas, Kids pizza and Gyros. I’m so happy we have a good Greek restaurant. Only wish they served fries with the gyros, but that’s just me being picky. Will definitely be back!

This was our first visit to Ray’s Mediterranean Cooking, and definitely not our last. The food is amazing and authentic. I have a 10 year old who is the pickiest eater. He ate everything on his plate. It was just amazing.

We had traditional (lamb) gyros both times we’ve gone, the crab cakes once, and the kiddo had the fettucine alfredo with chicken, once. The gyros are big, filling, and really tasty. The pitas were absolutely perfect the first time … probably the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had hundreds of them). The second time they were a little bit dry but still delish. Owners are really nice; place is funky and cozy — and hidden. Music a little loud for my taste, but nobody else seemed to mind it. I really want to try some of the other items on the menu, but the gyros are so good it may be a while before I get to do that. I wouldn’t get the crab cakes again — they were very fresh, and the sauce was impressive, but there was too much filler. Alfredo sauce was quite good. While nothing is perfect, I have to say I just love the vibe of this place. We don’t eat out too often, but this place may force us to change that. 🙂
