This has been my favorite pizza place since I was a kid in the 80s and use to stop in after spending most of my allowance at the arcade across the street(Times-square). The smell of delicious pizza as you walk in and see the amazing pies behind the glass makes my mouth water. I always go for a couple of slices of thin crust sausage. The atmosphere is of an old Italian mom and pop joint. They take cash or credit and it’s a pretty quick place to get a slice and a coke. I think once you have a slice you may be hooked like I am. There’s a dining area inside and an outside patio as well. The prices are very fair and they serve alcohol. Enjoy the best pizza in town!

I will update with a positive review when management updates the opening dates and hours to reflect reality. Is Renaldi’s closed permanently or only temporarily?? This is a long-operating neighborhood pizza joint that has served high quality pizza for decades. The past few times I have tried to eat here, however, the door is locked without explanation. A couple of weeks ago I came half an hour before closing and the door was locked. I assumed that they may have closed early that night as an unfortunately large number of businesses in the neighborhood have been closing early in recent months. Today, however, Renaldi’s was shuttered and locked at 7PM on the night of an evening home Cubs game – the exact sort of evening when pizza pubs in this neighborhood usually do a brisk business. Please either update your business hours to reflect the reality of when this restaurant is actually operating, or if the restaurant is closed permanently it would be great to post some sort of sign on the door to indicate this. Thank you

One of the most underrated pizza joints in Chicago. Perfect ratio of sauce and cheese. Eating it right out of the oven was definitely a game changer versus take out.

We tried the Alfredo chicken thin crust pizza, which was good. However we also wanted to try the cheese pan pizza, which looked quite dry and old, so we had to cancel that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The interior ambiance for sure can be improved and made more lively!

Dreaming of pizza? I love coming here for deep dish pizzas. They’re heavy duty and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. You can taste how freshly the tomatoe sauce is. Staff is always friendly. Great place to stop and just grab a slice from as well.

Surprisingly horrible food. Garlic bread was store bought sandwich bread with a slice of melted provolone. Pizza had a tomato’s sneeze worth of sauce and enough oil to kill a small village. The dough ball, advertised as a desert, was a literal ball of pizza dough. We ate the pizza because we were starving – but I can still feel it in my body almost 12 hours later. Cheese cake was pretty good though.

First they didn’t have my salad ready, then upon arriving home I found my salad was just lettuce… just lettuce…the pizza was also completely undercooked and stuck to the box when I order it well done. Upon calling and asking for a refund, the manager wanted the pizza and the lettuce back. Welp it’s in the trash now. Just like my refund I never received, and the service and quality of this place.

I just moved to Chicago after a stint in Los Angeles and before that New York. So let’s just say, I know what’s great pizza and I know what’s not so great pizza. This restaurant is an honest to goodness pizza place. No frills, no fancy names, no weird ingredients. No trying to turn pizza into something she isn’t. The place is nearly empty on a Friday night, which is absolutely bizarre to me. The staff are super sweet, the drinks are strong and fairly priced, and most importantly the pizza is to die for. We got a Sicilian pie with pepperoni, garlic, and pancetta. My boyfriend and I were silent for several minutes once it arrived as we were sent to another dimension. So glad to have found my new favorite pizza place.

My favorite pizza in Chicago. My family and I have been coming here for many years. Our favorite dishes are just a simple pepperoni pizza and then the linguine with clam sauce. Lots and lots of memories here. Every time I visit Chicago I make it a point to come here.
