Great value for eat in/carry out. Got two lunch specials, just to try a few things as it was my first time there. Mini pork tips and 4 piece dark chicken, along with fries and two drinks. Cost me less that 13 bucks! Chicken was phenomenal, though I just wanted the hot sauce and the young lady at the counter basically insisted I also get the mild. No offense, but neither sauce does the delicious chicken justice. Hot was much better. I had two full fried thighs and two full fried legs for $6.50 with fries, and maybe four ounces or more of sauce covering them. I would have paid twice that just for the chicken and next time will see if they’ll do the sauce on the side. It’s fine and all, it just isn’t on the same level as the bird. Rib tips were not my favorite, some over cooked, some underdone to where they hadn’t rendered the collagen, but definitely edible. Long and short I’ll be back, and I’ll get a double order of that excellent chicken, and I’ll see if they’ll let me get the sauce on the side.

I ordered a large rib tips with mild sauce and peach cobbler but instead I got rib tips with bbq sauce and it was spilled all over the bag. The peach cobbler looks like some sort of peach soup. I’m very disappointed because this was a real complete waste of money. $34 gone 8I won’t ever order from this place again

Placed a online order. Didn’t receive my food until 2 hrs later. Food wasn’t fresh nor hot. Paid $18 for a rib tip and link combo. I received 2 different cut fries. One was crinkled the other was steak fries. Tasted like they came out of a frozen bag. Wasn’t edible at all. Rib tips were salty and the portion definitely didn’t add up to the price I was charged. Waste of time and money.

Please never order turkey tips. This order is only fit for the garbage. Ricketts you should be shame for serving food like this. Burned and dried out and the wings are big and old. Never again

First time visiting the place, was asking a few people that were there how was the food and to my surprise it was there first time as well. I ordered three wings with mild sauce and a small tip. The wings were good and fresh but the tips were disappointing. They were really dry and hard to eat. I’ll give them another try but i’ll order just wings.

Went to the establishment twice, first time dine in(outside)food was good and seasoned. However paid $14 and some change for a fish fillet dinner with no drink. Everything was a extra charge! The man at the window was a lil rude! Second time today placed order over the phone…. He act like he didn’t even have my order!! My meal says two sides and drink. I was charged for 1 of my sides and then asked about the drink was told it’s not included!!! Uhhh !! I pulled up the menu on my phone and showed him he said that don’t apply??? Then he said that’s a ATLANTA menu come to find out that location not even open yet!!! I scrolled back up and showed him where it said CHI-TOWN !! So now I’m confused!!! Come to find out he told my co worker on the phone who placed the order that the menu was old that’s online smh!!! Cause now you just lying and trying to get over on your and over charge your OWN PEOPLE!!! This why you can’t support BLACK Businesses!!

Man!!!! So my family was here from Cincinnati and I bragged on this place so we loaded up drove to the west side to get food. We placed our orders, cool…my out of town relative asked for lemon pepper on her chicken, young man rudely replied “WE DON’T HAVE LEMON PEPPER, THIS IS A BLACK OWNED ESTABLISHMENT”! My God was I embarrassed, so Nevermind the fact that we spent a decent amount of money, the customers were from another state, and we’re here because it’s a “Black owned establishment” I will never step foot in this place again, please do better with how you treat loyal paying customers. That attitude, and tone was totally unwarranted.

Came here specifically for the turkey tips and it did NOT dissapoint, turkey tips were tender and juicy! Also tried their Catfish it was perfectly seasoned and crispy!! No complaints here! Customer for life!
