Ricks Drive in and out is one of many restaurants opened by Mr. Rick in the Los Angeles area. The current owner started out as a breakfast cook here in 1977 and became an owner by the year 1978. In 2004 the city of Gardena filed eminent domain on the restaurant, yet, through the efforts of many loyal customers and Angelenos’, the ruling was overturned. Rick’s continues being a staple of Gardena, you may know us for our famous sign on Rosecrans Ave. or as the best breakfast, burger, Pastrami, and Chili Cheese Fries around.

OK I’ve been back since I had my not so good experience. I ordered a simple breakfast #4 without the pancakes that was $5.04 and the next day I came back and ordered the same breakfast which was $8.04 I asked the server why the change and she said the 1st server charged me the wrong price which she happened to be there on that day she looked at her and said she didn’t charge me that price which made me look like a liar. I paid the higher price even though I felt I shouldn’t have. As for the food excellent always hot and fresh drive-through moves pretty rapidly however be careful exiting for the pedestrians coming from the right there is a blind spot

there is only ONE lady that is super nice here but the young one at the window has a very stank a** attitude & she’s stingy with the condiments one day i asked for syrup & she told me a $1 for two i come here all the time & only get the LARGE chilli cheese fires the nice lady always give me a handful of ketchup but the younger girl gave me a little & when i asked for more she literally gave me 3!!!! then closed the window, it ruined my afternoon. maybe she shouldn’t be at the window anymore

This was the worst Chili fries I ever had. The fries were undercooked there was barely any chilli and the chilli was a clumped mess with barely any cheese on top of that they gave me a half plate full.

Burger had to much mayo, way to much lettuce, meat wasn’t hot, meat was spongy, maybe 70/30 beef, the bun was stale. The fries were delicious, season well, got what you paid for on the fries, the coke, was flat.. maybe the Co2 machine was not set right. For 17$ and change, I feel I was ripped off. Hey, I gave it a chance. I won’t be coming back for seconds to cheated out of a hard earned money I worked for. Older Lady at the cash register was really nice though. This is a honest reply and judgement.

My favorite meal here is the breakfast burrito, probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had for it’s price. All the other items are great too, but I always go back there for the same thing. It doesn’t matter what meat option you get, they’re all delicious.

Went there this morning for breakfast and the food was fantastic. I especially like the hash browns. Unlike your typical hash browns and these were sliced and delicious. We always get their burgers there. Very delicious food and the place was clean
