My friend and I went here for brunch last Sunday and it was really pleasant. The server was very sweet and helped give some recommendations on the pizza. We asked for a vegan pizza and it turned out really great, it went well with our drinks! Overall, I always love going to the top part where there’s lots of light. It was raining outside however it was still a lovely brunch.

Great pizza and amazing selection of local craft beers. We had the double Korean glazed wings that were super tasty. We also shared the ginormous Almost Greek salad that was a perfect pair for the pizza we built. The ingredients are fresh. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. A great place in Printers row. We will definitely return.

It’s impossible for a restaurant to operate without running afoul of a patron every now and then. At some point, something is going to go wrong with the service offered, and a guest will have to pay the price for the error. I was that lucky guest during my last visit to Roots, but the professionalism of the bar manager turned what could have been a 1-star review into 4 stars.

What we liked: 1. the mozzarella sticks lived up to the hype, 2. the Greek salad was surprising and refreshing with the fresh mint in it, 3. the tandoori chicken pizza was good; wish we’d gotten plain cheese.

Searching for Vegan friendly restaurants and stopped by for a short dinner. Overall, it’s a nice place. We didn’t stay for the local entertainment sponsored by the station B96.

I went to Roots after work with some co workers. We for some appetizers, a drink and tried the pizza. The appetizers were so good. We tried the mozzarella sticks, panza bread sticks, and the popcorn chicken bites. Those were some of the BEST mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had. Maybe a little bit on the pricey side but worth it. The panza bread was so cheesy and the popcorn chicken bites had this honey glaze that was the right amount of sweet. We tried some pizzas and honestly I thought they were OK. Pizza can be hard sell in Chicago because there are so many options. I probably wouldn’t come back for the pizza personally but the appetizers I will be back for.

Hot, Tadty Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza. The crust was very tasty my son said a yummy malty flavor! I had the artichoke pepper and veggie dip yum. Very clean, fun hip atmosphere. Our waitress was a GEM!! They also have great sandwiches. The upstairs if you get sad if there is absolutely gorgeous, full of foliage and real live plants very nice.

The food is lush and fabulous. Our server was attentive and really sweet. Loved feeling outside without being outside because of the skylight roof, too.

1st 3-day visit to Chicago. Work trip. Cool city vibes. Will be back. Roots thin sausage pizza was great. Lived the crust. Appetizers were par. Cabbage salad dip on tortillas was not special, mozzarella sticks were not edible as the clumpy goo stuck in my throat, choked & blocked my airway. Sonora cocktail was cute but just ok but open glass ceiling rocked on the magnificent view. Probably would return. Cool city dining feel.
