Our name Rusty Taco comes from our founder Rusty Fenton, who was passionate about food and had a dream to open a neighborhood taco stand. That dream came true when our first restaurant opened in in in 2010 in Dallas, TX.

Had a great quick dinner this evening at Rusty Taco in Short Pump. It was kind of busy, but the food came out pretty quick. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice assortment of tacos, but I think my favorite was the Migas Taco of the three I had (which also included a Philly Steak taco and a BBQ Brisket taco).

As a self proclaimed foodie and taco lover, Rusty Taco DID NOT disappoint. Flavorful and unique. The ghost pepper habanero sauce (well that’s what I thought it was cause) was fire . Definitely returning.

Really quick place for street style tacos. It took less than 5 minutes to get my food after ordering and the food tasted really good. Prices are obviously higher than at a taco truck, but it matches other taco restaurants in the area. Tables could’ve been a bit cleaner but all together I’d go again. They also have breakfast tacos available all day.

Went here on a quick decision after driving by the previous day and let me just say.. This will be a regular spot for our family! Food was fresh, delicious and fast with an expansive menu of street tacos and nachos among other items. Staff was friendly and their recommendations were great, drinks were also great and THEY HAVE THE GOOD ICE. You know, the crunchy ice with spaces that hold your drink only to release it when you satisfyingly crunch it! And they have Styrofoam cups which holds the optimal temperature for a cold fountain drink on a hot day I really am serious about drinks. The person taking our order suggested 2-3 tacos per person (2 was plenty if you get sides) They also have an actual bar with a variety of margaritas- on the rocks and frozen- and draft and bottled beer. Patio seating is completed w string lights and umbrellas bringing a fun twist to this quick service, order and sit oasis in the middle of west broad.

Fabulous, fun, Friday lunch! The chips and queso are amazing! Loved the margarita – on the rocks – perfect! Enjoyed the pescatarian options. Had the fish taco and the cauliflower taco. Good tacos both! Also tried the street corn which wasn’t very spicy for those looking for a milder option. Best part, hands down, was the people! The cashier was super friendly and helpful, the bartender was really nice, and the service counter staff kept the party rolling. The whole place was clean, friendly, inviting, and fun. I signed up for the loyalty program, so I’m looking to go back and enjoy more of those chips and queso for free!

We ordered through door dash. You can’t leave special instructions. I have celiacs and ordered corn tacos. They mislabeled them incorrectly and I started eating a wheat taco. I called to let them know and they said they actually cook all the shells on the grill together. Now I’m spending my evening sick. Do not eat here if you have celiacs. I advised them that should be on the menu.

Food is still great. The atmosphere is nice but sound travels indoors. Can’t wait to check out the patio area. Will definitely be going back. Loved the extra helping of chips for the queso.
